Ok, so I am a 58 year old retired Midwife in New Hampshire USA. I was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure at 44. I have outlived the Drs projections by living a good life and using my time to learn and expand myself in my mind since my body will likely be staying put right here at home. I try to be an encouragement to others because it makes me feel good to lift others. My favorite part of your Chanel is I love to nature journal and you have a magnificent eye that lets me see things that spark my curiosity and send me on learning binges about Mushrooms and areas of the map out your way as well as animals I didn’t know much about because I am in a very different but similar are of the earth. That being said, I was also an educator as a midwife, and taught my own children at home. Teaching 4 children to read was the best insight to how our brains work and how we are each so individual. Educating women about their miraculous bodies and their abilities taught me the power and beauty of nature and the benefit of letting it lead us and direct us. Now, you know the person behind this comment a bit more…THIS WAS AWESOME! Excellent, excellent work Amanda! If I were 18 and could go back and do it again, this video was so helpful and so thought out. I loved the information, but along with the deep and experiential information the back drop of a simple day on the beach with everything you needed including a fabulous companion who you thanked….just amazing my dear! I love who you are and how you are and just want you to know the impact of your simplicity. You are a very rich woman!

One of the biggest compromises we make living in the city is sacrificing that natural soundscape, and it makes our days in the backcountry so precious! Plus one of the reasons I enjoy your videos so much is that natural soundscape - it is so relaxing, I can put on headphones and just immerse myself in the sounds you've recorded. I love the sound of rain on our tent - despite what it means for our hiking or exploration - but I haven't got used to the sound of it on our car when we sleep in it. At home we have skylights and we do enjoy listening to the rain on those - it conjures up fond backcountry memories, and that's so valuable to our wellbeing.
