we did plan to have a bigger difference but it was not needed. The meth just adds fuel, not a lot of cooling effect, at least marginal anyway.

Can you remap my bora tdi st . I have a genuine pd 150 hybrid turbo . Your side mount intercooler kit . And your head bolts . I'm after a tune for my turbo and a blue water pump metal blades . Before I put new turbo and intercooler on I was running on a revo stage one 174hp at fly and 315 tourqes and still on standard exhaust and a piper cross panel air filter . Please help with a remap please .I do have a print out from jkm Portsmouth who mapped her . All the work is done by Al and sons in there performance side . Have a think

Hey guys, have you ever had problems with big turbo Polo/Ibiza/fabias where under sudden full throttle or after gear change in a hard pull the engine makes a hard and loud *thump*? All engine mounts are new and it doesnt seem its hitting the chasis, at least i cant find it

Had that problem on a stock PD100, had to replace left engine mount twice because the first one didn't fix the problem. I guess at that power level you need something more beefy than OEM-spec :)

@@ionizer96 i've found the problem few days ago, gearbox mount was toast, you could move the engine front to back like 5cm by hand even tho it was 3 months old. Bought a new one and filled it up with windshield glue, works like a charm!

Looks really useable in first and second gear😂. Just kidding. Great results and I’d digress that 350/360 ft/lbs torque is more than ‘respectable’. I’d be ensuring the tires are PS4’s or similar, upgrade to Powerflex or similar for engine mounts and monitor for clutch slip.

Rica were doing a 253hp map for that engine, although I believe that's for manual gearbox cars. The engine has more than enough potential for 300+ being very similar to the petrol bottom ends, sadly not a lot of aftermarket development for it though.

@@deafyboy86 Mine is a manual gearbox. From a clutch slippage point of view, they should be fairly simple to upgrade (stickier clutch, stiffer pressure plate). I don't know how much torque the actual gearbox can handle, though. I can't seem to find many people who tuned it. Regarding the Rica tune, I find that either unbelievable or unreliable. Polestar is doing a 220ish HP software and you can retain Volvo warranty. The Rica, with 253 HP, would be 73HP more than stock. That is kind of a lot just using a generic software map. I don't know what the safety margins on these engines are, but after I just finished rebuilding my engine (with stock parts since that's all I could find) I don't want to risk it melting a piston AGAIN. Especially if it's caused by a generic software tune. I'd like to find someone to do more than just a software tune. A better turbo, maybe more appropriately sized injectors (or just nozzles?), upgraded cooling, etc. etc., even if I only get it to 260hp, but at least I know it's not just a software tune and I've done my part to keep it reliable. However, I guess the typical Volvo diesel owner isn't the kind of person to tune these engines, so not much in terms of aftermarket options, as you mentioned, which is why I'm asking guys like Darkside Developments. Sadly, they don't offer anything for it either, probably for the same reasons.

Keep up the good work lads! In these days of demonised diesel best to run least smokey maps to prevent politicians and media from banning all the fun. We should be pushing Govt to introduce #hvo made from genuine renewables like City waste. Works in all diesels even without remap, massively lower emissions including NOx and PMs, higher energy content than fossil diesel and better mpg. See #neste in Finland.
