Loving that digital angle gauge. The normal ones are usually cheap & nasty, made of tin or plastic and end up getting mangled when the ratchet falls on the floor.

....you're giving me nightmares Mike....brings back memories of doing the head gasket on the 200tdi in the Series 2....found 4 banana style pushrods in that engine....mind you damn thing clattered so much it was hard to tell they'd been replaced afterwards!

Have you thought about putting the info sheet you printed out into a plastic sleeve-you maybe able to get them over there as you can get them in stationary shops over in the uk-it’ll save you money in the long run ?

Could the lobes be built back up with weld then profiled using two other undamaged lobes as kiss blocks using a rotary tool with a base plate if there is no other option to fix?

I wouldn't fancy welding something like a camshaft or rocker arm unless there was absolutely no alternative. With parts like that you need to be 100% confident the surface has the correct hardness to retain it's reliability and you wouldn't know if the weld might either be too soft and deform or too hard and mangle the valve cap.

It would be possible but too much to go wrong - the OEM ones, MWM made in Brazil are about £10

Hi got a problem about 4 weeks a go my dosco 300 tdi snaped a rocker so got a 2nd hand one and its just done it again to night Last time was 2nd from bk then is 3rd from front And one eva had this problem need some ideas what could be doing it after 1000 miles

Did you fit the rocker shaft on to the 3 hollow steel dowels located at either end and centre of the head?

Hi my discovery 2 tc light and abs light came on and the tc light went back off leaving just the abs dose this mean I’ve got a bad abs sensor or are my brakes pads on there way out

Just checked on internet and consensus says yes. But parts diagram for 200 tdi says no. But most people fit them with no problems so I will.
