@@danthestanmanj594 im going energy just because to minimize nvh but its good to know about the washer. It looks to me like your subframe bushing may be upside-down? Perhaps thats causing your issue? All the installs ive seen have the larger flange of the bushing on the topside not the bottom. Just a thought. Cheers!

@@connor7877 ahh okay, nice! And I don't think so! This was how they were shown on the instructions, and If they were flipped the other way around then there wouldn't be a flange to actually hold the subframe up. There are some bushings, that I've seen, that have two flanges on each end, tho. Either way, good luck with the install if you haven't done it yet!

@@danthestanmanj594 cheers man thanks! Just noticed for my energy subframe bushings that the ones in the front have a different part number from the ones in the rear, one having a slightly taller flange. Perhaps its the same with yours and thats causing your issue?

I'm doing my subframe bushing as well any tips

If you're gonna be cutting them out just be careful not to cut into the subframe. Also, if you're going the same route I did in the video, get a "cold chisel" from home depot or somewhere. It's about a full day's worth of work, maybe more depending on if things don't go as planned so just prepare for that. It's a pretty straightforward process, hardest/most time consuming part is taking the bushings out.

@@danthestanmanj594 how's the ride quality? N i had problems with the spl solid diff bushing. What i did was flip the subframe upside down n did the same for the diff. Bang out the diff to subframe bushing a bit because it was going up like you said. I tighten the diff brace first then i bang the bushing in from the subframe to diff n tighten up. I diff notice a little gap to the out side right bolt that you have a washer on

@@moose938 sorry forgot to reply, but yeah not too sure why I had problems with a gap on the differential cross brace piece. I even messaged SPL about it but never heard back. But I haven't had any problems with what I did. The ride quality isn't the most comfortable, which is expected from solid bushings. I can't really say what difference I felt after I drove on it. A lot more noise in the cab, too, though. I daily drove my car like this for months and kinda got used to it.

@@danthestanmanj594 might try to find a cheap subframe from a parts car and give it a try.
@danthestanmanj5945 жыл бұрын
That would help a lot. You could take your time on it and not feel so rushed with having your car on jack stands and with no subframe. Then you can spend a weekend with just installing the new subframe. Good luck!
