The CNC which I got on Ebay was dodgy. The Aluminium extrusions for the gantry was meant to be 360 mm long but where only 315 mm. Plus the thread rod was to small. They also 3D printed the bearing blocks which all broken as poorly made. Be aware there was T slots missing too. So now I have part a 3018. Very disappointing was refunded. But need to source parts to finish basic build.

Are you actually building one from the ground up or struggling to find and add bits and pieces to the existing one? I'm doing a complete build as per the 3018 design format but with more upgraded features to make it perform like I want it to. I already have a 3018 still in the box untouched as I bought it to do a design comparison analysis for the new build. As you say, getting the parts on line is a slow frustrating wait but even then sometimes the parts are not exactly as listed so more delays.

I can't setup hard limits switches please help me out to fix it Its not working when pin it in ramp 1.4 for Max limit switch of all axis I setuped successful home switches from minimum axis limit switchs But I want to setup on another end of axis for maximum limits switches . . Kindly help I am using Arduino mega 5x + ramp 1.4 and grbl mega 5x edge

Which values do you use on the $20~$23 commands? Do you use NO or NC on the switch?

I have a milling machine like yours (CNC 3018 pro max) and I have one question, How to set soft limits in the GRBL controller (Candle), that's a loteasier in the Mach3 program. No one posted it on youtube how to do it. If he can answer or give a short video I would be very grateful. Thanks, keep it up and all the best. Zoran

Soft limits work in the negative direction, how the reverse direction of the coordinate system, $ 23 = 0 to $ 23 = 7 does not change anything? The starting position (Home -g28.1-G28) is in the upper left corner.

Hi I’m trying to set up my z y z axis y and z are going in the right direction but x is wrong direction I’ve done the $3=5 but it makes z axis’s change direction can you please help
