I normally fish the inlet side because you need to get a little deeper. The beach is really shallow there and loaded with rocks that you can get hung up on

South side is a private beach, but check the bacteria reports. The Sewer plant for the county empties in to the river farther in land from where you are. .. in the late summer months the bacteria levels get high and can causes sickness.

@@302FISHING how long a leader do you use? Sorry for the questions, im headed to Lewes next week and want to have rods ready to fish off the rocks near the yacht club.

@BonesSaw1979 1 1/2 feet should be good enough

@@302FISHING I have some prepurchaed hi-lo rigs made from monofilament. Still use the 1.5 foot leader? Stinks because in the rocks we constantly lose rigs and I’m sure I’ll be retying leader line a lot

South side technically private. But John had a surf tag on his truck and he knew someone from that side
@MoH-tq5rb Жыл бұрын
It’s a private beach, but need to check bacteria reports since the county’s sewer plant empties into that river farther inland. Also keep in mind that current is super strong and two people died trying to swim in the river last summer.
