You can tell by his body language that he gets completely fuckin lost in the music. Shuts out any and every outside thought or distraction. Practice doesnt make perfect. Practice makes you good. Passion is what gets you to perfection. This drummer very clearly has the talent and the passion. I envy that so much.

I'm a bit jealous to never be able to hear them for the first time again. I'll be 40 tomorrow & Deftones have been a major part of my life for more than half of it. The boys & I read about Adrenaline in a magazine in '97, one of us bought the album & it blew our stoned minds & then a week later, Around the Fur was released. We couldn't believe our ears then & they've been a constant for all of us for 25 years. One of the best experiences of my life was myself & one of my best mates, arm in arm, at the Hordern Pavilion, Sydney in 2016 with Deftones pumpin out Digital Bath. The fistful of pingas had kicked in & it was just me & him in a time warp back to 2000 😂 Great times 🤘
