Thank you so much for the video. I was wondering would it be possible to grain refine Ti alloys by adding grain refiner agents (like the same logic in Al alloys) to liquid and end up with fine equiaxed grains?

+hamid reza lashgari THis is a good idea. People try this with TiB and TiB2 - papers by Dan Miracle and others. It doesn't seem to give much better properties - controlled by the ~10micron primary alpha, probably, so grain refining the beta formed on solidification doesn't help much unless one get get to submicron, which I don't _think_ people have. But there's still work going on in this area, so maybe, one day....
