A pure joy just like last time. To be honest, I prefer your format of 30 inks 30 days much more. It's less overwhelming somehow 😅

Hey Karyna! Love your #30inks30days methodology. Depending on what's going on in life, I sometimes end up having to binge my favorite KZbinrs videos because I may not be able to get to them daily so this is great! I think it's totally natural to outgrow certain pens. I have several in that category! Our tastes evolve.🤷🏻♀️

Do you have any fav books on Greek mythology you’d recommend? I’m always on the lookout!
@KarynaLovesToPlan Жыл бұрын
Thank you! As for Greek mythology, it has been years since I did Classics. And there are so many versions - the straight translation from Greek to English, or ones that have been “rewritten” or repurposed so it is easier to understand. I do love the Iliad and the Odyssey. I wish I could remember more but it was almost 20lbs ago! 😂

30 inks is a good way to do a lot of hobby chores. Like using up samples, or testing less appealing pen and ink combos to see what you might be missing. That’s one good reason for us all to try it at least once to see what we learn that might surprise us.
@KarynaLovesToPlan Жыл бұрын
Yes definitely - it's a great way for me to use all my pens in one month and try 30 different combinations. I learn so much while doing this!

Never stop doing these! I confess, I don't watch it beginning to end as it's a long video - but it's also awesome that the option is there to do so! Today's "Oooh, I like that!" inks were the Cherry Blossom (like a calmer yama-budo?), Demeter (lovely brown. my 2nd favourite colour range after blue-black), P.R. Blue Suede

Greetings, @KarynaLovesToPlan! I've watched your ink swatching videos for some time now. I really appreciate your methodology. I so wanted to prep for 30 in 30 with an organized list of pen/ink matches, but LIFE got completely in my way, and thus September was upon me! Lolol So, my way has been more haphazard: I've got a test tube stand filled with 20 or so randomly selected fountain pens, some filled, most not. As of day 9, I've "felt" like a specific "color" for my day, found a similar ink in my stash (yeah, I've collected a lot of ink like that), partially filled one of the pens in the rack, and its GO for the day! I'm good with that way too! I do a lot of writing of bible study and research notes, and not much artsy splotching of the inks, but I may try that next go round...after I'm all organized and whatnot... Your first two pens for this little project were strikingly beautiful--I'd probably just fill them and forget about 30 in 30, so I'd be able to look at them every day...

The book that you transcribe into - what is it? Looks like a B6 something with grid. Can you share specifics? Also, I appreciate that you have an order and use for the inks you're using. Thanks for sharing

Hi Larry! The notebook is an A5 notebook from Hobonichi that I got from Amazon. Not sure if they have this same cover available. But it has the original Tomoe River Paper.

@@KarynaLovesToPlan I have not. I am going to now that you suggested it. It's in the color sunset pink. I don't think they have that model anymore, but I could be wrong!

I just pressed play and I’m already so excited for your 30 inks 30 days! I want to acquire a few more ink samples so I can partake in a 30 inks 30 days challenge too 😍 Also, I love the cover of the notebook you’re transcribing Anne of Green Gables in. Can you share where you bought it please! I’d love to get one too ☺️

You’re so organized and precise; do you realize how annoying that is to normal people? ❤️🙄😂 Here’s my polite (for a change) request; I’m totally taken with shading inks, and wonder if you could devote a reel to highly shading autumn colors? Pleeeeeeeze! 🙏
@KarynaLovesToPlan Жыл бұрын
Don't worry - I'm not always this organized. You should see my house. Awful! 😂 I'll see what I can look at for my shading inks for autumn.

@@KarynaLovesToPlan …I’ve recently acquired a few Scribo ink bottles. They’re pricey, but exactly what I like in shading potential, the three shades I bought all Fall colors too. I can’t have too many orange or sepia shades. 😆🍊🌰

Somehow Navahlur pens and light inks don't agree with each other. I'm entirely sure why, since the pens seem adequately wet with darker inks.

I thoroughly enjoyed everything about Days 1-7. I have to give it to you for being able to know which inks you'll give up because I would be buying full-sized bottles of ALL of them. Well, except the brown. That one, I'd stick with the sample size. I just love, love, love both of your new pens; not quite as much as any and all Esties, but close. I also love that beautiful green Pelikan. I would be a happy woman if I owned just those! I can't wait for the next round. Oh...and I love your new swirling method with the back of your calligraphy pen. That is so pretty!
@KarynaLovesToPlan Жыл бұрын
@@kimdanielson thank you Kim! I am very “cut and dry” when it comes to my pens and inks, but I also know that many of these inks, should I ever want them again in the future, I can easily purchase. I do love the Pelikan 140 but I do not use it often because it is so small!

lovely ink swatching. you have a very cool style. i am saddened that Nathan at Noodlers has suffered from wokeism. he, like many of us in America, have sought to pay homage to native Americans and other cultures by naming products after them, as other countries and cultures have done. but i suspect that it is his strong support for an honest form of capitalism and real American values that have turned him into a pariah, seeing how marxism is the root of woke fanaticism. i hope such a thing never happens to you or your loved ones. i also hope your week is a blessed one. 🙂
