A very sophisticated piece I have neglected since the 70's its quite a treat to see the video... won't forget this again...I'd love to hear Santana do this again live.

Wow! A trip back in time. Crazy, crazy days. Santana was from my "hood" and school, the piano player at the end, Alberto Gianquinto was a family friend who played piano often at my mother's house in San Francisco's neighborhood called Eureka Valley. What a time that was!

We called him "Crazy Al"! He was in the class behind me at MHR. His brother Billy was in Boy Scout Troop 122 with us. Good old Eureka Valley! I am fourth generation San Franciscan.

Greatest version of Incident at Neshabur ever! The piano solo by Alberto Gianguinto completely makes it. He didn't play with them live for very long. Just till Abraxas was finished recording.

@Paisano actually they do but it's very disappointing now to say the least. With the new lineup they've removed what made this song great, they've turned it into a weird jam. You can see a vid on them too on here. The new members just don't know how to capture the sound of the old songs

The dissapointed verson your taking about is not this one i guess? This is a very good version simular to the live in Japan version and the studio version. very sober but exact how it should be.

Funkyme4 Yeah this one is a great performance, I fully enjoy it. I meant about the latest Santana band... the "Supernatural" band... I'm not happy with the way they interpret the classics, their sound is completely different. They are a good band though, you can hear it in "Shape Shifter," their only album so far without guest-stars so it's all musical and all awesome.
