When I watched that episode of Supernatural I never thought Misha was an asshole, I just thought he was very funny and a great sport to be playing someone like that who was supposed to be him. Misha wanted the character to be a total asshole but the writers tried to make him more Misha, and Misha tried to make him into an asshole, but it wasn't asshole enough that people would think that it's not how Misha normally acts.
