They call it sods law every thing coming at once. In August to September Cats get the urge to go off on a expedition which a Vet said when one of mine did it and ended up cutting himself badly so I whipped him off to the vets and they stitched him up it was getting to the point that the skin was drying which made it impossible to stitch together but they were able to do it in time, Cats revert back to their natural state very quickly.🐮🐈

Ian, great news on the calf, hope the next couple goes as well. When it comes to water pipes, drains, telephone cables, power cables and much more buries in the ground, have you ever tried “divining rods” or “dowsing rods” I know they are very controversial but they work for me. If you don’t know what I am talking about and are interested in finding out more, you might have the time to look at a KZbin video called, Does it REALLY work??? Millennials try dowsing for a well It is about 8 minutes long and for me it works to find storm drains, cables water pipes, and more. If it works for you then it is handy to find services and help to avoid damaging them services. If you try let me know if it worked for you. Best wishes. P.s. I use two pieces of high tensile wire about 18” long with a right angle bend about 4” from one end. Also I don’t talk to the rods.

Wonderful news, Farmer P. He/she looks a real cutie and very alert. Amazing how nature works. How creatures instinctively know what to do first time round 🤩. The soil coming from the hole digging looks a lovely rich almost black colour. No clay in it. Interesting. When you dig trenches across the fields you invariably find clay, at a certain level, all along the trench; yet just in the yard there is no clay. Yet further along in the farm yard i.e. when you were digging drainage ditches it was mainly clay. If I remember correctly, the area in the front of Audrey's cottage that you were digging up was a rich red colour.. Then again the soil was black in the area of the chicken coop. I find it very interesting. At the risk of asking a daft question, is there a reason why there are different types of soil on Bradley Farm or is it just nature's geological set up and your farm is on a cross section of soil levels?
