First time I've heard of using a training racket, although I have noticed that my strokes have more power once I switch from a cheap heavy racket to my main rackets in practice

Training rackets are usually even heavier than cheap racket. They can weight 160, 180, even 200 gram. I even tape the head to give it an extra resistance.

Separate wallet for badminton funds! Thats the only thing I would add. To help me budget for badminton I stash allocated funds in that wallet. If the fund runs out no more badminton till I the next salary day 😁

I'd always carry my phone charger and power cord, just in case. Also, a pain relief spray like a cold spray or a heat spray and lastly a cotton crepe bandage. Hope that helps :)

For Training days i keep everything in a Dunlop backpack. 1) 3 Rackets 2) Shoes 3) Spare shirt for the summer 3) Towel 5) 1 Tube of shuttles 4) Scissors 5) 1 spare grip - mainly for helping out others 6) Ice spray in case of injuries 7) Jumping Rope for warming up 8) 1 Banana and/or energy bar. 9) Water bottle 10) 1 or 2 pack of strings, so i can give it to my stinger right away ;-)

Hey there really nice work you do One doubt I purchased Astrox 100 zz what I noticed that the cover of the racket Inside it there was tag in which it was written made in Taiwan and the astrox series has two types of cover one for the normal ones and the other for the made in Japan which have some shiny and glossy looks . I have that shinny and glossy look cover but still can you help out like are covers really made in Taiwan

yes, you can string past the recommend string power but may i suggest 28lbs is really enough unless you're an athlete

I do not have the 88D Pro. I believe the warranty is 6 months from day of purchase. Going over the recommended tension cancels the warranty. Also removing the strings after the racket breaks cancels the warranty.

Nope, never cleaned the soles of my shoes unless the hall is extremely dusty. By then we have a 'slipmat' which is a piece of wet towel we leave on the floor and we wipe our shoes with it in-between rallies.

Hi there, I have a question regarding stencil ink on badminton strings. I was told by many including stringers who is against stencil ink, as they say it might cause the string to break prematurely, and also affect the overall performance, would you mind chipping in on whether it's true ? Or stencil ink has got no affect whatsoever on the racket and the string ?

yes ofc its true, using stencil ink is obviously better than the normal markers like sharpies but i dont think it has a big impact on how long thr string will last tho. Stringers most probably would recommend using the actual ink, but i think its really not a very big deal if u use markers. its really up to you in the end.

Yeah, people used to train with a squash or tennis racket previously. now there's purpose made training racket which looks like a normal racket but weighs heavier. Even Yonex have their own training racket nowadays, TR0 and TR1.
