The recipe to make Granite with Diorite and Quartz is one of the things that actually makes the most sense in Minecraft... when you're a geologist. In real life the main difference between granite and diorite is the fact that granite contains quartz and diorite doesn't. As for the color, it's caused by another mineral: feldspar. Diorite contains only white feldspar (also called plagioclase), while granite also contains a lot of orange feldspar (orthoclase) That being said, the recipe for diorite is cobblestone + quartz. When real-life diorite doesn't contain quartz. ... yeah i don't have any excuse for that one

I didn't take it so I don't know much but I'm guessing what they connect through is paleontology but you don't need extensive knowledge of rocks for that and definitely not of igneous rocks since fossils appear in sedimentary rocks, I hope the original commenter corrects me if I'm wrong

Fun fact 2: You can also use minecarts on top of a 15 tall block such as an enchantment table or end portal frame and the use a piston to push a slab or stair block then you can get a working, noiseless chair. Idk if the holding Q tip was because you dont want to give the whole thing, but in case you or anyone didnt know, you can do shift+Q or ctrl+Q (i forget which one) to throw the whole stack at once without opening the inventory

Regarding the item frame thing. It’s really annoying when you’re creating adventure maps, because even in adventure mode and with mobGriefing off, both mobs and players can still shoot out the items in item frames with bows and arrows. You have to give yourself an invincible item frame that spawns with the item in it for it to be safe.

Another good chair idea is to place a staircase block, surround it with trap doors except in front, count two block away from front place a block, on top of that block place rail then another one slanting into front of stair. Set a minecart on the top rail and push it down towards stairs. Destroy the block and rails. Then you have a chair design that way as well.

14:10 in java edition at least an interesting thing I've noticed is that if you kill a wither skeleton naturally and it drops a wither skull it's because that chance thing is the chance of a wither skeleton spawning a wither skull on it's head when it dies, notice that the red death hit doesn't make the wither skeleton's head red if it drops a wither skull, however if you use a charged creeper this is thrown out the window

I'm so old I get the evoker reference. So there's a game called age of empires. enemy monks have the ability to change units colors, and basically make your units defect. the way it was done was to show your unit's color changing to the opposite color. so that's what the sheep thing is a reference to.

13:29 another interesting fact about woodland mansions (at least on bedrock I don’t know if this is true in Java) is that in every woodland mansion there is an Efficiency 1 Leather Cap, hidden in a secret room, behind a wall, easily findable by the fact that it will just be a doorway with a wall instead of open space, Edit: after looking on the Wiki apparently this is just one of many different secret rooms that can generate and I’ve just been lucky enough to find this in every single woodland mansion I’ve found since upgrading to Bedrock Edition from legacy console
