Those homemade sculpting tools are little works of art in themselves. The skin effects are really cool. "Crab Claw Replica" sounds like a Frank Zappa album. This has been so much fun. You make such great snails.

Thanks a lot for following along. I'm glad you enjoyed the project. Sculpting tools and stamps like that are really neat, and a lot of fun to work with. I will make a video in the future focusing on textures :)

Awesome. This series made me pick up some clay to play with. I tend to use green stuff very sparingly and I do not experiment because I'm always worried that it gives me little time to learn and that I will end up wasting it. Clay makes the learning experience more affordable. Or even if that's not true, it's the state of mind I've put myself in, and if that means I will make some amorphous abherration instead of not doing anything, it can only be good.

The good thing with polymer clays is that you can re-use it until you bake it, so you don't have to worry about wasting material. When working with Greenstuff I try mixing a little at a time, slowly adding it to the project.

These homemade tools look spot on, any chance on a video about those? Process of making them and what materials you used? Cheers ;) :)

Yes, that would be an interesting theme for a video :)

I had made similar sculpting tools after one of your earlier videos (or maybe just a post?), but I'd used much larger sculpting tools to make mine...I don't know why it didn't occur to me to use my smallest tools rather than my comparatively massive steel ball tools! This has been delightful to watch, and definitely encouraging to get me sculpting again!

Thanks! I have some even smaller ones, that I have just stippled with a tooth brush. It is good to have stamps/tools like this in all sizes, and it is always nice to vary the surface texture on a sculpture.

Your home made texture tools are awesome Will you make a video on those as well along with how to make some?

Cheers! Yes, I will cover that in an upcoming video :)

What a great end! Way to show persistence getting through the whole month! How much time did you spend per day on this on average??
@wilhelminiatures69053 жыл бұрын
Thanks :) That's a good question, and I don't really know the answer. Some sculptures took about 30 minutes and others took several days to complete.

Congratulations on finishing all the sculptures! You did a great job. ANd it seems that the video cut off a the end. What did you want to say about Monster bash part 3?
@wilhelminiatures69053 жыл бұрын
Somehow I have managed to cut away the last ten seconds of the video without releasing it. Thanks for pointing it out! I was just going to say that Monster Bash and Sculptober overlapped, and I haven't had time to make something for MB yet. However, I will make a monster for it later :)
