Hello Robbie, Today I attempted to turn a vase like your's using part of a cherry tree which we had to cut down about 9 months ago as it was swaying dangerously close to the house. I soon found that the wood was wet but I carried on and made it as thin as possible. However, as you warned one slip of the chisel and the project is gone. Well, my tool slipped and I removed a piece of bark. I tried to repair it with another piece of bark and some CA glue but it looks like the dog's dinner. Anyway, it's another step in the learning process. I've got some news for you. Brendan (Baconsoda) has enjoyed his renovations so much he has decided to go into the building trade full time. We are all going to miss his "craic". We shall only be receiving uploads from him about cement mixers and plastering. Best wishes, Alan.

Hello Robbie, Thanks for getting back to me. Brendan has now bought himself a castle which he's going to renovate. He says he chucks bits of food down to peasants like myself to keep us happy. Looking forward to your next upload. Best wishes, Alan.

Hey Robbie I saw your yew bowl video but it wouldn't let me comment on it so I'm leaving one here. I really like what you said about using the tools your own way that works for you. I find that my way of using certain tools doesn't match what I've seen to be the "correct way" but it works for me. As long as I keep them sharp they work. Also I'm sending Mike some walnut and if you'd like a piece send me your address on a pm. Thanks again for all your great videos. Mark
