310 bobcat engine swap Predator 15.8 horsepower

Huge help, thanks for sharing. I just bought a 310 that doesn't run and decided to go for the swap instead of messing around with the original engine.

Here's a little update. If I was to do it again I would probably find a used Honda engine. I live at almost 9,000 feet and the Harbor Freight engine was a little finicky. You get what you pay for. I do believe a lesser horsepower Honda engine would do just fine. You could always adjust the pulley size to compensate for torque.

How’s the power compare to the old kohler engine?

The Predator engine is rated at 15.8 hp. The Kohler was 16 hp that being said I'm at 8500 feet and I can run the engine at lower rpm to do everything I need to do. I could probably get away with putting a larger pulley on.

Could u put a vanguard on it or Kawasaki and I have a deisel mower and could u use a deisel lawn mower engine on it and like the 310 and the s70 bobcat
