In many driving schools here is being taught how to drive at higher speeds (I'd say 140kph or more) and if you aren't able to control your car at higher speeds you should just quit driving lmao. Atleast you should increase your personal limit step by step on empty roads before driving really fast. A big problem are the people that do shit like at 5:05 and not the speed itself. Worth knowing on the German Autobahn; if you are going over 130km/h (80mph) any accident you are involved in is ALWAYS at least partially your fault. There are almost no circumstances where you can escape all blame. This makes situation like at 5:05 very sobering if they go wrong as you can lose your car, get a ton of points and face consequences which will ruin your life. (But I still drive > 200 when I can anyway, but in recent years I slow right down when I see cars & trucks in the right/slow lane coz theres been too many close calls)

I have an e55 it's got 476hp (approximately) and 700nm of torque more torque, more reliable and more tuneable than the e63 it spins up the rears in 2nd in the dry no problem it's a beautifully understated and comfortable cruiser but can beat almost anything, especially at higher speeds.

i can tell you that on this video there are two idiots, even if there is no speed limit in Germany this is still called reckless driving and can be punished by law also even if there is no speed limit the recommended speed is still 130km/h, if you crash on someone that's doing 130km/h but he did not anticipate that you are doing 300km/h you both take the blame even if you stick to your lane and theoretically the person that did not anticipate changed the lane and crashed into you, well supposedly if you both survive that crash.

Aber wenn man den E63 mit dem aktuellen E63S vergleicht ist das ein Unterschied von gut hundert PS plus Allrad. Des Weiteren hatte die alte A-Klasse um die hundert PS und heute sind es über 400 verdammte PS.

Zu der Situation bei 5:07 : mir persönlich wäre es zu gefährlich wenn die Sonne so tief steht so schnell zu fahren, weil die Sicht eingeschränkt wird. (Wenn du ne Sonnenbrille auf hattest ging es vlt idk), aber , dass der Passat einfach rüber zieht geht garnicht. Bei der Sichtlage hätte man den Wagen sehr wahrscheinlich gesehen wenn man in den Rückspiegel schaut aber anscheinend war dem nicht so (Straße gespiegelt evt). In jeden Fall Drive Safe und peace ✌🏼

Die Autobahn ist halt keine Rennstrecke. Und wenn ich dann auf einer Autobahn mit 2 Spuren weit über 250 fahre, dann ist das einfach viel zu schnell für die Situation, speziell wenn rechts vor mir 2 Autos dicht hintereinander fahren. Und irgendwo ist das auch mit dem Spiegelblick so eine Sache, denn ich kann nicht erwarten dass andere Autofahrer mehrere hundert Meter zurückblicken und dazu kommt noch, dass ein W211 heute doch kaum noch Überholprestige hat.

5:04 Complete lack of situational awareness, maybe the low sun made it difficult but still. A car generally goes faster than a truck, so if a car is behind a truck you should know that there is a good chance the car will overtake. No "defensive driving" which is important at those speeds, nothing more important than knowing when to lift off the gas to avoid these situations. Could have been avoided by detecting the situation earlier and therefore started braking/coasting earlier. Short story clear, you're at fault because you are driving above 130km/h and weren't scanning the situation clear enough. Just my opinion, I am nowhere near an expert but I do think a lot of accidents can be avoided this way. Keep the Autobahn safe, that way we can save the unrestricted autobahn areas :)

The moment he started pushing with the sun in the way I was like, it's not a race track it's autobahn and situations like this happen, the car is fast and in the end of the day we all want to go home. I know it's tempting to push but you're not alone on public roads. I agree with you. The car behind the truck probably didn't even see him in the mirrors, just 0.2 sec are enough to make a difference at that speed.

He was scanning the road actually, driver in the old Superb was retarded and didnt check his mirror, otherwise he wouldnt overtake that truck at all. He should be all the time in the left lane when going just 130. In Europe you can get a ticket for driving slow aswell on the highway. Its definitely fault of the skoda driver. Or you want to say you cannot drive 270 on german autobahn in left lane?

@@SuperOMGLOLROFL uhmm wut?? If you are speeding above 130km/h on the autobahn you are responsible if an accident happens, indeed the Skoda didnt watch his mirrors well enough which is stupid. Still the Mercedes was at fault because he was driving above the advised speed of 130km/h, he could have seen it coming by scanning etc. (see explanation in my first comment). Indeed you can get a ticket for slow driving. But that is well below 100km/h, I think it is 50 or 60km/h. For the last part. I am not silly of course you can drive 270 on the left lane IF it is an unrestricted area. Heck you can drive as fast as you want, but is it smart if there is traffic behind a truck?? (I think not...)

It is a two lane Autobahn section, not three lane, it is not empty, there is other traffic. I agree with the previous comment: lack of situational awareness. The guy in front looking into his mirror cannot judge whether the „old Mercedes“ is approaching at 200 or 300 km/h. Amongst others I have a W211 E55 and 96 Volvo 850R (modified) and you really have to be careful approaching other cars at 265-270 km/h with that 24 year old Volvo Wagon, because people just do not expect it to be so fast. Same with an old Benz. Just stay realistic what to expect from other drivers.

Auch wenn ich es klasse finde, dass jemand solche Autos zeigt... Gibt es mir doch zudenken dass dieser jemand anscheinend nicht bereit dafür ist, solche Geschwindigkeiten auf öffentlichen Straßen zufahren... Alle machen Fehler! Und bei Geschwindigkeiten über 250 rechnet keiner mehr damit das einer kommt und voralledem nicht so schnell! Auch wenn es diese Fehler nicht entschuldigt, muss einen bewusst sein dass eben einer ein Fehler macht und es dementsprechend so hinnehmen... Sonst fahr auf die Rennstrecke!!!

Man muss die ganze Zeit mit Fehlern rechnen...! Und trotzdem darf man sich ja wohl noch aufregen? Jeder Fahrer der auf die linke Spur wechselt muss in Deutschland damit rechnen, dass von hinten ein Auto mit +300 km/h angefahren kommt. Leider ist es über die Jahrzehnte normal geworden, dass der Spurwechseler meint er hätte Vorrang.

No Limit Autobahn No Limit Autobahn da gebe ich Dir größten Teil recht... Nur bei 300 kann man einfach nicht mehr einschätzen wann das Auto da ist bzw man guckt im Rückspiegel sieht nichts und auf der Hälfte des Lkw sitzt einer ein halben Meter hinter Dir... Ich kenne beide Situationen, trotz runterschalten und gucken kommt bei 75 ps nicht viel... Und andererseits fahre ich auch gern schnell, und mittlerweile mit deutlich mehr ps... Deswegen fahre ich nur auf 3 Spuren Autobahnen 200+

Honestly, just buy a mint E55. The performance is comparable, it's even quicker from 0 to 100, and about even to 200, while being absolutely reliable. The electronics on later W211 are all figured out and rarely break, while the 5.0 M113 is absolutely bulletproof. The 5 speed auto is also insanely durable and won't give you any issues. Put it this way, in 2 years and 70.000 kilometers of owning an E55 I spent 1600 euros to keep it running. Just get a good one, and not the cheapest one you can find. Besides, we have a little club where I am from, with 13 memebers that own Mercedes models with the M113 5.0 engines, and they all run flawlessly even though we all drive them really fucking hard. 250-300 km/h autobahn runs on a weekly basis.
