Months removed from its premiere, “soak city (do it)” now feels like a prophecy. It's passed 100 million Spotify streams, rubbed elbows with Billboard Hot 100 stars, and been bumped by LeBron James and CJ Stroud, La Flame himself Travis Scott, and popular streamer Kai Cenat. To follow up his “lottery pick” debut, the hottest baby iteration on the scene since Lil and Da continues with the sports metaphors. You’ve got to be pretty plugged in to the Association to get the reference on which “paul pierce” is built. But the line “I’m just doing what I love/Trying to make my family proud” speaks for itself.
