I know this a month ago know, but that material coming down is ABSOLUTELY perfect for backfill/trails - roads! With the water draining at the dump point, it's almost a perfect mix of wet with the material-makes it pack excellent. Plus really is a double bonus on the labor/return ratio, as all materials being purposed to immediate improvement. Truly hope nothing more serious wrong up that shaft though, it does seem to be a lot of lumber coming out of the muck. Look forward to the progress beyond that shaft! Good luck, Cheers to all.

Ftank, I had over 700 loads out the door from where they blew up the main intersection. What we were digging out was fock and dirt from three levels above us. The ground collapsed next to tunnel no.3 above us and opened up a shaft that went down to where we were gigging. We then had to shore up the upper end of that shaft to keep the rocks from raining on us.

This is fascinating, a lot of work but this is how it was done and it's great to see it documented. Good work!! At 17:40 I think we see the real reason they put in a 2 - 3 % slope to the adit. Sure it helps with drainage but saves a lot of backache too.

Frank, we spiraled through that bad area when we got it to quit raining rock, We got a huge pile of used road grader blades from the county and drove then in the roof then used a hydralic ram to push up and put pressure on the blades then shored under the blades.

Yeah good going it’s cool to actually see you pair working and making some headway. Lucky 🍀 you get a bit of help from your volunteers and of course your great partner Sharon. PRETTY DAMM COOL !!!! ❤️ Tie a length to the full ore cart attach that timber to it and give the cart a good shove. That way you can be down the track a ways. Should rip out that stuck timber maybe. Lol I’m rough as guts but !!!! Cool riff by the ADDITS Wish I was a richer man Frank? I would fly over and help out . Angels are good on the shovel even though sometimes they are in disguise lol

Love watching you two work on this project, I will have to make it up there one day to see all your hard work come to fruition. How many cubic feet does that ore cart hold? Looks like it is about 2.5 feet by 3 x 2.5, am I close? If so it holds about 18 cubic feet and by the number of carts you have moved well over 80 cubic yards out, pretty impressive! Thanks for all the great adventures!

@kasnitch2 жыл бұрын
You have to drive drift at least +1/2% grade . If you don't, the face will always be under water and your drift will eventually flood . That is why you drill the far right lifter (bottom hole) at a negative grade which makes a ditch that will drain water to the entrance or shaft . It doesn't hurt the trip out with a train of loaded cars is downhill .
