Hi from South Africa. Bought same bucket locally. For some bizarre reason they remove the stickers from the buckets. From my CZ 452 this ammo shoots very well. About one inch groups at 50 to 60 yards. Very good ammo at a good price.

This is good ammunition, at least it is for me,..I've been using this for a long time now,..and I can't recall ever having a dud either. I use in in revolvers, pistols and semi auto rifles and of course in my bolt action rifles, all with satisfactory shooting fun. It's not the only ammo. I shoot with, but it is the one I have the most of.

I bought a bucket of this stuff as an experiment and given that I paid full price it was more expensive than bulk CCI Standard Velocity. Also, there were about the same amount of malfunctions as you report (2%-4%). I have fired thousands of rounds of the CCI SV and I don't think I've had a single malfunction. It was not as accurate for me as the CCI SV and it is very dirty. If I could get a bucket for $35C I might think about it but otherwise for me it has no advantages over the CCI SV.
@3142994 жыл бұрын
I certainly would pick CCI standard velocity over this stuff if accuracy were the only criteria, however not all semi's work reliably with standard velocity ammo as they are set up for high velocity ammo. I was not aware that CCI sold their Standard Velocity load in a bulk package, all I have ever seen was in 50 round boxes.

The crimp in these Remington bullets are not correct. You can actually spin the bullets on about 1/3 of them because they're so loose. Not good for long term storage. I find a lot of duds after stored for 3 years probably due to humidity being able to seep in through the loose heads. This does not occur with Winchester or Federal bulk.
@3142995 жыл бұрын
The loose bullets do not inspire confidence however they shot much better than I had expected them to. As for storage the ammo comes in a plastic bucket that is airtight when the lid is on. My personal experience with this ammo has not shown any increase in "duds" after several years of storage.
@nedrain90445 жыл бұрын
I don't like the loose heads either. It's annoying to find loose bullets and powder in the bottom of the box! I've always shot mine up before encountering any storage problems though, and they do shoot well. But Federal would be my first choice.

I've been having bad luck with a variety of rimfire ammo lately. On the bad list are Armscor USA .22WMR, Winchester, silver label plastic box of 100 .22lr, both of which left bullets lodged in the barrel that I had to poke out with my cleaning rod. Other poor quality stuff includes Aguila, and yes, Remington Bucket O' Bullets, which I can't get a normal .22 "crack" 10 shots in a row with. I had to poke 3 Armscor bullets out of the barrel before I had gone through half of a box of 50. I threw the rest of the box away.

I'm not sure, however, I think this video is a reuploaded one. doesn't matter, funny thing, I shot a lot of that remington golden bullet ammo and had better than average results in bullseye pistol league shooting (In my ruger Mk-2 pistols). I only shoot standard velocity in my higher grade guns to save ware and tare on the springs and reduce cycle ware on them (High Standard, Smith-41) I used to have a Hammerli P-215 that some dude shot high velocity in it, he developed a crack in the slide, I got a really good deal on that gun and sent it back to Hammeli for repair. I shot that for many years.-Dave

Yes, this is "re edited" material, now approved by the YT types with the addition of the opening "disclaimer". I had rather low expectations for this ammo, especially as I bought this as opened container at a gun show. It did much better than I thought it would. I think what often gives people grief with this ammo is that they often have bullets that are loose after crimping, and that leads to feed issues in many semi's. I had low expectations when I got this stuff but my experience with this lot was a lot better than expected, having said that I am sure there were lots of it that were not as good, such as what you had.
