I headed out in an Amber rain warning to try out the Vaude Arco 2P tent and the Montane Synergy 2L GTX jacket. They both worked well but one other bit of gear failed as you'll see.

That`s a nice setup all round, not silly money and everything performed as it should. I had a Vaude hogan 10+ years - totally reliable.

H Andrew, Camped at that exact spot when I did The Great Trossachs Path. There's also another nice wee spot a mile or two further round right on the loch side, and with a wee picnic bench. Good video as always. All the best, Allan

Always thought they would have some restrictions on camping at loch Katrine. Because you can't fish it or go in it.

Me too, got a decent quality inflatable job, but not as comfy as this `old school` method.

Looked a good tent for the money. What's the weight of it ? Oooft you got lucky with the Police then 🤞 What's the story with the trousers you had on ? How are they? What happens if you're cold and had to put the fleece on ? 😮

2.8kg Stevie, the trousers were given to me by TBMPOY, the fleece lining is handy in the cold , like softshell outers for showers too . They get a bit sweaty in mild weather though. A
