Just playing the game every day, did as many campaigns as I could (main story, and side ones like CT's), all the events that gave gems, hunter trials etc etc.

Saved up literally every gem I got. Did main story, then side stories (Conut Thunder, Light in the Dark etc), events, bloody palace, realm conquer 50-ish levels each etc etc. Pretty much just play the game every day and don't waste gems on anything, use them only on the one character you wanna get. I'm currently at 5k saving for Count Thunder
