Every so often, on eerily quiet nights, I'll hear what sounds like a baby crying in our backyard. It's always the same cry, like it's a sound bite playing over and over through an old radio. Hard nope. Pair that with the weird humanoid thing I saw in the lake back there, I'm pretty sure there's a whole community of cryptids just outside.

there was a time where I used to hear a woman's scream every night around 2 to 3 am, which obviously to me instantly meant something creepy and paranormal from all the creepypastas I watched. Turns out the whole time we actually had a mentally unstable neighbour this whole time who would go outside at night and just scream, which is still as equally scary tbh.

There is a misconception between Native American folklore about the Wendigo and the Colonials, the antlers only were added when the colonials arrive to the Americas, originally, Wendigos were the personification of hunger, thin with pale skin, walking corpses, the dear head and antlers were added by the colonials.

But this time i did and they kind of distracted me from your story, i think they were just too loud; maybe lower them in the bg? everything else like wind/water sounds aren’t as distracting but the birds really stole your thunder lol.
