You know what’s not talked enough about the entire Amari Cooper/Browns thing. You remember when it leaked out they wanted to give Amari Cooper for Aiyuk? These Players are human. When the organization treats players as assets instead of humans that make sacrifice for the teams , this is exactly what you get. This is what makes the difference between a winning culture like the Steelers who flat out refused to trade a player to the 49ers …why? Because look what happens to your team when you do float that out there. Could you imagine how George Pickens would play on a weekly basis if the team was “giving up on him” it would be terrible. That’s why you can’t piss off veterans who sacrificed for your team to succeed.

Another important noted that I don't think you highlighted about the Panthers: Not only did Andy Dalton not take a snap, but Bryce also only played one drive against practice squad players. But like you mentioned, all the teams with new offenses that played their key players (Saints, etc.) are doing well. I think that is a big part of why we are seeing this initial regression.

The slow narrative Hayden is selling for MHJ is complete BS. He was clocked at 22.2 MPH in college last year which was the fastest in CF that week and clearly shows he has elite speed. The fastest clocked time in college last year was Worthy at 22.7 MPH. The fastest clocked time in the NFL last year was Metcalf at 22.23 MPH, so basically the exact same speed as MHJ.

I couldn’t believe it when he said it, so I looked it up. MHJ ran a 4.46 in high school though not sure how accurate that is but the fastest time I’ve seen recorded for Nix is a 4.71. Nix didn’t run the 40 at the combine or his pro day, I’m guessing if he was sub 4.46 he would have run. MHJ didn’t run because he was going to be the number 1 receiver regardless.

I don’t take what non-public college data says at face value. Same with high school 40 times. Too many examples of it just not being true when players are timed at the combine. I’ll just keep watching the tape and reporting back, plus use NGS data. Ultimately, it’s not going to matter that much. Comp remains DeAndre Hopkins, who is awesome. - Winks

Falcons fan here, just wondering if you think we'll see the pass rate increase as Kirk continues to get more comfortable in this new system? During camp, almost every day we (Falcons fans) saw clips of deep ball reps, etc etc. Kirk himself has said he's both rusty and dealing with a lot of new (system, coaches, WRs, etc.). I imagine it's easier to install the run game when you're returning the o-line and RBs, not to mention a rehabbing QB, so perhaps this is a situation where, hopefully, we look back in several weeks wishing we had shown some patience? I realize you can only analyze the here and now, and that's fine, I just think perhaps we've been rushing to judgment (especially after week 1) in part because this offense had such high expectations. Or maybe I'm just allowing that two minute drill to fill me with hope haha either way, love the show and all the content!

I’m confused why everyone expects Marvin to be a burner. He caught a lot of deep TDs in college because he’s great at reading where the defense is playing him and he goes and gets it. Idk if anyone actually watched him in college. The game he had Sunday is what he did in college. And if Murray makes better throws on the fade he’s unguardable in the red zone. He’s reported to run a 4.48 which isn’t sexy but it’s not slow for his size. That’s why he was drafted where he was

40:15 looking back, I think TJ Watt was why they were running the pistol. Also Arthur Smith knew something about the OL's snap cadence and told TJ Watt about it, reportedly. TJ was getting such an incredible first step that he looked offsides at times even when he wasn't. That forced the Falcons to run out of pistol and shotgun more than usual because Cousins literally didn't have the time to run a drop back pass or play action.
