1:14:15 - Jim Leonhard was offered to be the DC for my Green Bay Packers, but he thought he was going to get the Head Coaching job with the Wisconsin Badgers so he declined it last second. It actually caused the Packers a lot of problems, because he thought about the decision so long and then everybody else got hired. That led to the Packers hiring Joe Barry, who has been a complete failure basically everywhere he went. Leonhard was wildly successful with the Badgers, he was a great Safety with the Jets, and I would argue he did well at Illinois as well. Now he's doing well in Denver. He has high football IQ with high character. I agree that he will be a DC in the NFL soon, but I think he'll eventually become an NFL Head Coach. The biggest question to me is does he want to be in the NFL or does he prefer the college game? I think he preferred the college game, but with NIL, he might prefer the NFL now.

Completely agree with Swift. He excels when given space (who doesn’t) but he just cannot create it. Doesn’t make guys miss, doesn’t break tackles (even arm tackles), and isn’t decisive fast enough to get downhill when they need short yards. The good backs similar to his size like Gibbs or CMC are so good at finding a sliver and exploding through it.

I wish you would’ve commented on Xavier Hutchinson getting more playing time now that Nico went down. Same with Jalen Coker when Legette (and Thielen) went down. Hutchinson was great in college and preseason, I believe he can make an impact if given the opportunity. Coker’s route running makes people look silly and went to CAR as a UDFA Rookie hoping he could replace Thielen somewhere down the line. Both players have been my 5th round pick the last 2 years in my dynasty league.

1:19:05 - Heath is not passing Wicks on the depth chart. Heath had his own problems with penalties (holding and a false start) and only had 2 catches with all of those snaps. Granted, he is a decent a blocker and his bigger body is nice, and he has shown he can make some pretty crazy catches, but I don't think the Packers can give up the elite route running of Wicks, and benching Wicks just seems like he could cost him even more confidence. We need to let Wicks work through his issues and I think the Packers will. I think it's more likely that Wicks passes Doubs and Doubs has to work his way up than Heath passes Wicks. Heath just isn't a good enough route runner.

Hayden, it would be awesome to see (or read) you revisiting your defense rankings! Your pre-season rankings were very helpful, and I'm curious how your rank order has changed based on in-season performance, injuries, etc. How would you rank NYJ, KC, BAL, SEA, TEN at this point?
@alexdebo7272 ай бұрын
Its not Najee. Its the playcalling and O line. If you watch the tape you can see Najee make the right read, and although he doesnt have that explosiveness to get the extra yard, he gets no help from his O line. Is always facing stacked boxes.

As a Tank Dell superfan he does appear just a step slower as he works his way back from the injury. But as Hayden mentioned with his routes - Slowik has completely erased him from the offense. They are giving him 3 end-arounds a game that go nowhere.
@EatwithM.E2 ай бұрын
Tbh should I drop him? With all my injuries I can’t afford to stash. If he doesn’t perform this wrrrk without Nico then he should benched ros?
@percybowl2 ай бұрын
@@EatwithM.E I would certainly see how he does this week if Nico doesn't play. Anything less than 8 targets and I would be fine with dropping him. It may be shitty weather in New England though which could complicate things.

I'm part of a league where we don't need a TE but I completely forget in the draft and drafted Kincade...he's been on my bench ever since...I'm going after Juju and dropping Kincade...Daltons production will never be what I'd want in a flex spot where I could have an RB or WR. I already have Legette and Downs and Tracy and Bigsby are taken so Juju is really the only one I want at the moment. Oh and Tolbert and Wicks are taken as well...
