I've found the 32 tooth sprocket to be good for all round general use. It's got enough torque to take you up the hills with pedaling an your motor doesn't run out of legs on the straits.

Yay, new video. Thanks nick. Could you link where you bought your hub motor? I have a schwinn meridian 3 wheeled bike with a 4 stroke and it sucks. I think I would do better with an electric hub motor.

In this ride today are you using your front wheel electric motor to help on the steeper pitches of the hills you are climbing? Love your videos. Keep em coming please.

He had to use asisstance for those long steep hills an the 32t w a stock motor an pipe , he didnt state if it was 49cc or 66cc . Ive heard ave hp for kit '80s' are 2hp what ive seen em make on Smolicts dyno

Nick, why would you use a rag joint instead of a hub adapter? I find rag joints are very difficult to install correctly. A hub adapter is much more reliable, and runs straight and true.
@NicksBikes3 жыл бұрын
Not in my experience. I agree that it's definitely easier to set up, but my hub adaptor snapped 6 spokes, whereas on 6 builds now I haven't so much as bent a spoke with a rag joint.

Looks like the 36t would better suit you w the hills but w thre 32t the motor gets to relax and cool better ..i run the zeda firestorm 80 w the 6cc big fin head and stock muffler slightly modded by cutting baffle cap extension tube even w cap and drilling extra 5/16" hole on opposite side of exit stub for noticeable torque increase and barely noticeable loud increase , w the 36t but soon will be adding mz65 clone expansion chamber and zeda 100 carb for the 32t and hopefully itll climb a little better but will rest an cool motor down hill for my average cruise of 25mph , guess that would be somewhere between 35-40 kph Cheers

I tried a 36 tooth with another bike, liked it well enough. The 1000w electric front hub compensates for the lost torque on the 32 tooth, which I chose because it was something different. If I built it again, I probably would choose 36.

@@NicksBikes glad to hear it . You gave me idea of adding electric front motor . Thanks

Your engine doesn't come out of 4 stroking. When I am at full throttle and I hear my engine gurgling at top end I back off the throttle till things smooth out. The engine stepps into 2 stroking, get smoother, quiter, and much more power. My bike will run at 30 mph at a Rich full throttle, back off the gas to the 2 stroke point and speed steps up to 35 mph. I just gotta change the internal "jet" to something a bit Leaner.

I've heard you can use an O2 sensor gasket from a 2004 Kia as an upgraded exhaust gasket, can't confirm this though.
@NicksBikes3 жыл бұрын
The proven one is a Toyota Land Cruiser O2 sensor gasket. I used a metal gasket sold for these engines, hasn't failed yet. Probably is just a resold O2 gasket anyway
