Every time I watch one of these episodes, I quickly read everyone's comments because I am so emotionally overwhelmed and find it difficult to understand my own feelings and thoughts on what I've just witnessed. I rely on the thoughtful and deep reflection of everyone else's to see differentiate my own reaction. All I know is that I feel pain, watching these characters suffer because I care for them a lot. Thank you to Marc, Danny, Pauline, writers, and directors.

This was one of those epis where their relationship becomes the huge topic. They talk about about the crash (it´s been ages), about Aaron not standing loosing Jacko and the word love was heard more times than ever. And what a way of saying it...wow. And did Jacko said 'kiss me'? I´m dead

Oh how I wish Jackson is here now. He could help Aaron though his mums 'condition' and be able to talk to him. Aaron and Jackson were made for each other but it was short lived. Aaron needs happiness and deserves it twice over. Yes, Aaron's done pretty bad things but he's been though so much. I know this isn't real and it's Emmerdale but this character is amazing and Danny Miller is so talented. I know before anyone says that Danny Miller has his part because he is good at crying on cue but how can anyone not feel sorry for Aaron. Btw I know this was a long time ago but I wanted to get this off my chest. RANT OVER.😢

While I'm not the biggest fan of Robert whatsoever, he's a lot less useless than Jackson, who was emotionally abusive towards Aaron in the end. Jackson didn't do much more than help Aaron come to terms with being gay, sleep with him, argue with him, get hit by a train, and force Aaron to help him commit suicide. Yes, Robert is a disgusting fuck and I absolutely hate him, but he's done more for Aaron than this bafoon ever did.

Jackson just emotionally blackmailed Aaron. Seriously, he should have just left Aaron out of this. Aaron was a complete mess after Jackson died and nobody should have to deal with something like that at 19 years old. Jackson should have known Aaron better, and known that he wasn't going to be able to handle life afterward. I know it would have been difficult to kill himself on his own, but Jackson should have found a way to leave them out of this if he really wanted to go through with it.

I think this scene was more then just a kiss... it was the raw emotion of two lovers fighting... one trying to let go and the other trying to hold on.. the kiss wouldn't of helped... kinda inappropriate when your bf is trying to say he wants to end it.. hardly rosemantic eh? Great scene very emotional! 10/10

@JiminPalmSprings The award was for Best Actor, not Best Gay Character. If Danny were to win a GLAAD Award, then you would have a reason to complain. But since that's not case, Danny deserved that award hands-down. Like it or not, that guy knows how to move an audience better than anyone else at the moment (besides Marc), so it's about time he got recognized for it.

It can not be the UK that has the issue because I have seen the John Paul/Craig storyline from 2007 on Hollyoaks and they made out a decent amount. I think it's just this soap. I too find it bizarre. Yet, I still keep watching because I gotta ride this train to end, even if it's going off a cliff.

The tougher, LOVING, decision would be to get Jackson professional help in spite of his present wishes. He'll hate your decision at first, but not in the long run. End this SL by sending him away for treatment. Where there's life, there's hope. Danny's award's well deserved, but hope Marc received kudos, too.

here I'm trying to steel myself for the inevitable and then they go ahead and have a killer conversation (ugh, bad choice of words!) that just leaves me with tears streaming down my face ;_; Such great performance from the both of them! And I do agree with @whiterabbit123 that their exchange is more powerful and raw emotion than a kiss would have been in that moment. An unresolved fight between lovers rarely end in kisses, and it would be vain to think it should..

Normally, I don't really care how frequent or prevalent Aarson shows affection, but that last scene seriously called for a passionate kiss between them before Aaron declaring that he'll never give up on Jackson. The writers made us think that it was going to happen during that scene. But I guess it's pretty clever the way the they keep the fans on their toes. They even got me this time!

@luckyduck152 Danny's vision on how much affection his character displays is not a negative reflection of his acting capabilities. I think Marc is just as fantastic, but what is it that makes him so much more credible than Danny? The times when they do go in for a kiss, it's Marc that seems more uncomfortable than Danny. None of that matters to me anyway. To me, they're both great actors whether they have their toungs down each other's throat (which is all you guys really care about) or not.

I don't understand this storyline can win awards if this story of a loving couple being broken up by assisted suicide is underpinned by a relationship devoid of anything that resembles the closeness of a couple in love... it is beyond me. The story would work if they were loving brothers or friends... but this is bizarre nonsense and Danny Miller does not deserve an award for playing Aaron who is an unrecognizable gay man
