321. 1-2-3 Fluid Art Blooms on a canvas! WILD results!! / bloom technique acrylic pour

Hi everyone! In today's episode of fluid art paint pouring with yours truly; I will demonstrate the deconstructed bloom technique on a 16”X20” Fredrix Convexo canvas. What is the deconstructed bloom technique? It's creating a SheleeArt style bloom (or several), and using the cells and lacing created and "wrecking" them in such a manner (usually by tilting the canvas) until the blooms are no longer recognizable--or there are only portions left. Why do this? The cells and lacing help me create a hopefully pleasing abstract composition by manipulating the best parts of the bloom! It's quite fun and you can get some amazing results! For this video; I'm experimenting with three difference cell activator colors--one for each bloom, and then tilt and stretch until I'm pleased with the overall look. Colors/Brands/Recipe:
House Paint-base aka puddle for the canvas:
Glidden Essentials Eggshell White House paint (Home Depot) 4 cup batch mixed with 1/4 cup Golden GAC800 to prevent crazing
Pouring Medium aka PM-mix with all colors EXCEPT the cell activator:
Sherwin Williams HGTV Ultra Deep Base UNtinted house paint (it's been discontinued but you can substitute with Behr Interior/Exterior High Gloss Enamel DEEP Base #8300 (Home Depot)); Minwax Polyacrylic Gloss varnish ; 2:1 ratio paint to varnish
Brands/Colors mixed: Golden Fluid Acrylics Quinacridone Violet and Benzimidazolone Yellow Medium; several drops into a 3 oz. cup of PM; Primary Elements ColourArte Pigments in Sweet Tooth and Firefly; This Little Pigments in Sockeye. 1/8th tsp. into 3 oz. PM.
Cell Activator (last color on your puddle before you swipe or blow it out-no PM):
Australian Floetrol + Amsterdam Turquoise Green, Permanent Blue Violet, and Amsterdam Expert Series Indanthrene Blue; 4:1 ratio Floetrol to paint for each color

This has to be one of my favourites for sure...spectacular colours! Thank goodness those mischievous 16 x 20 canvases have led you down this path!! Ok, I have to comment from the position we watched the painting develop: Violet bloom... happy little animated buggy creature with long feelers. Turquoise bloom... gorgeous tropical flower. Blue bloom... looking at the backside of an animated creature from the shoulders down suspended in the air. Wings outstretched, and oops, a little surprise between his legs🤣! When you reoriented the painting at the end, my imagination settled down!

Fantastic Magical Mystery Tour. 😅. I laughed the whole way through that video. You have no idea how much I was needing that.
