Could you go over why this is a sorting problem? My initial thought that it was a DP problem, very similar to 312. Bursting Balloons.

I tried to solve it using priority queue but can't get rid of some edge cases. But then I understood the flaw in the method . I somehow knew it was sorting with custom comperator but couldn't figure out the custom comparator .
