Mr. Miller for all of your fans, the greatest thing ever would be to hear you, Mr. Pasyukov and Mr. Vishnyakov and Mr. Kruglov sing together. Thank you for answer the questions me and so many of your fans have had. God grant you many years!

Mr. Miller even though you have no producers in America, our country would be honored if you visited and experienced the Orthodox Church in America and its musical footprint here. We the fans would love to hear you sing the the American classic basso profondo solo "Old Man River." Thank you for your hard work to make the voice of the Russia basso profondo known.

Unfortunately, Mr. Pasiukov and Mr. Vishnyakov are no longer young. They have poor health and almost not sing solo. And with Mikhail Kruglov, we are great friends and often sing together. For example, in the project "Three Russian bass profundo", where together with us singing yet Sergey Kochetov.

Mr. Miller, thank you for sharing your beautiful voice with all of us, and for passing on your gift through teaching... I have greatly enjoyed hearing your singing on KZbin. I have especially enjoyed the Valaam recordings -- "Svete Tihij" comes to mind immediately, as does "The Pine Tree" and that "Song of Russian Romance" that is here on KZbin somewhere. As for finding an American producer, sooner or later, it will happen... we love you here, and want you to come!

A basso profondo, or very low bass, has at least a low C, and his voice cannot possibly be mistaken for a baritone. The basso cantante, or mainstream low bass, as a rule does not get below Eb or D successfully, and generally does not sound as obviously bass as a profondo. (Cesare Siepi, a fabulous basso cantante, did have a high-quality low C.) There is also the high bass, or tweener, who is easily mistaken for a baritone especially when young, and whose lowest quality note as a rule is about E or F. (Donald Gramm, a noted high bass, was an exception, for he could sing Eb and D with substance.) Miller is without doubt a basso profondo, and a fabulous one at that, reminiscent of great predecessors in that vocal range such as Mardones, De Angelis, List, and Kipnis.

So, any singer with an Eb2 in fortissimo is a profundo, more or less? I imagine you'd want a C2 at least, so what happens to those who fall in between C2 and E2? I thought Storms had a little more than an E2, seeing as his fry is so thick which implies rough vocal cords. Have you heard Paul David Kennamer? That man's voice is a mystery to me. I can't make sense of it.

How old are you? There are like 3 or 4 small vocal shifts after age 15. There's one around 18, one around 23, one around 30...each shift is a little smaller than the previous, kinda like radioactive decay lol
@UN11377 жыл бұрын
Can you tell me how you experienced this? I am a young bass trying to figure out what to expect in the future.
@somerandomguy847 жыл бұрын
Are you asking me? You sort of notice this stuff around the passaggio. Your voice will naturally "cover" more frequently maybe a half tone lower as the voice gets heavier and deeper, both through development and just plain maturation. Additionally, the lower end of the voice will extend slightly. I'd say my voice from age 18 to 26 dropped about a step (maybe a step and a half at most if I'd been singing frequently). Again these changes are not nearly as drastic as the ones you undergo during puberty, but they are significant.
@UN11377 жыл бұрын
Nikhil Krishna Yes, I was asking you. Can you further explain what you mean by "cover"?

Mr. Miler, I would ask, at what age you were able to reach these notes? At the age of 17, I am able to reach the lowest of notes displayed in this video without vocal fry, however I am not able to reach the lowest of notes you have sung in various other videos which include you as you have sung considerably lower. I would like to ask how low you would think my voice may drop as I mature into adulthood. Your loving fan, Kurran Lawrence.

What do you mean 'isn't any limit' ? I don't count vocal fry as singing, since you can't sing it with power over a choir - and as far as I know, the modal register is severely limited by vocal cord length and weight. I've been stuck around E2 for years now. I'm louder because of better technique but no way am I lower consistently.

I wouldn't call him 'just another', since his timbre is noticably different from the others would-be-profundi, like Mike Holcomb and Eric Bennet. But, perhaps it's just studio magic. Who knows. If you or I would ask him directly he'd probably say something about gifts from god or smth inconclusive up that alley.

@Jouwl12 жыл бұрын
So you define a profundo as someone who could potentially sing 20 Hz without frying it? That's a bit harsh :( I have too heard that age gives you extra low notes, but I fear that they might be 'fake' notes. 'Fake' as in not resonating properly like the modal notes do since puberty. I've seen old people sing low notes, but they are _very_ weak (even though they're not fried).
