I'd chamber another round for the safety first idiots if I did these vids. I have never watched a gun shoot without being touched (misfires from weak primers happen after the trigger is pulled). Negligent discharges do not happen in unmolested firearms,

It did hit the deck. You got it right on the first statment. You can tell this by the direction the edge of the metal is curled. It is not going to curl up towards the engine if the trajectory is coming from the engine.

You should get non running lawnmower, motorbike or whatever. Pull the sparkplug out, with piston at approximately bottom dead center, fill cylinder with Tannerite. Install sparkplug, then shoot. Now that would look cool!

Funny that you dig up the oil... Popular Mechanics in a magazine from the 60's (or maybe it was 50's) showed how to dispose of your used motor oil by digging a hole and adding gravel then just dump the oil in the gravel filled hole. LOL (if you don't believe me google it)

Contractors are paid millions of dollars a year to lease out land for oil spills. They come and dump the dirt on heavy duty tarps, and the sun will biodegrade the oil in about two weeks. All they do is rotate the soil with a giant farm tiller to expose all the dirt to sun and air. After holding for six months and a basic testing, they sell the "non contaminated " soil back to the oil companies to replace the dirt they excavated out.

@@myrealname2022 I worked at soil reclaim for a while and we did it differently due to our often cool and rainy weather. But same concept, energy applied to the dirt. We had hot piping in the mounds of dirt and tarped on top to hold the heat in, vents let the hydrocarbons escape. We'd untarp and give it stir every day and it was clean in less than a week. Pretty expensive for all that heat though, solar sounds good if you have the climate for it.

I would love to own a 50 Cal but I enjoy doing the same thing with my 308 it is a lot of fun getting a side shot at the piston. It is pretty dramatic when you hit the piston and the connecting rod goes flying through the block.

First let me say I love your videos so don't take this wrong....but I've seen a LOT of "shooting running engine" videos, and you guys always get it wrong. It would be much more interesting, especially on the these little horizontal cylinder motors, to shoot them straight through the cylinder cover (no it's not called a head on these people, look it up, no valves in it) and down into the piston, through the cylinder centerline. Essentially your point of aim would be to try to knock the spark plug straight into the engine. If done this way, you get to see that cover shatter, the piston will get wrecked, and possibly be set free if your aim is good enough that you break the wrist pin out of it. If your round still has energy, it may even break the crank like your first shot here. Anyway...much more interesting, more violent, and possibly more flammable than all these damned crankcase shots. Yawn. :) If I wanna see oil and pieces come out of a crankcase, I'll just buy a Ford and wait... PS take all that plastic shit off the motor before you do it. It's just there to help more air be drawn around the motor to cool it, for longevity. Since you're assassinating it, that's really no longer a valid issue...
