@PritchLife no, not yet but that's how I ran across your channel. I was researching that hotel for this next trip and I found your vlogs. I have definitely decided that's where we are staying this next go around though, thanks in part to your series so thank you again :)

Hi, just found your channel as my husband and I have booked New York for next year...staying at The Riu Plaza as well. Your vlogs are great 👍 informative and we've never been before so trying to get as much information as possible! 😬 we have purchased a Go City New York pass...are the hop on buses easy to use and regular? Thank you 😊
@PritchLife Жыл бұрын
Aww thank you!! You’re going to have an amazing time and you won’t be disappointed with the hotel. The hop on/off buses were so easy and very regular. You can also download their app and track when a bus is on its way 😊

Loving the blog, couple of quick questions. Did you guys do the 9/11 museum. Have similar age boys an not sure if we should do the museum part with them. Also where exactly is the starting point to cross the Brooklyn Bridge and is it walkable from 9/11 Memorial
@PritchLife Жыл бұрын
Hi Gavin! Thank you! I didn’t do the 9/11 museum on this trip but did do it on a previous trip. I decided against it this time because it’s quite big and a lot to take in for the boys. The Brooklyn bridge starts around chambers street and is only a 5 minute walk to the 9/11 memorial. We purchased the hop on hop off bus tour and it drops you right by the Brooklyn bridge.

@@PritchLife thanks for your reply. I had heard that the museum was fairly large and that ideally you should allocate a morning or afternoon for it. We just don't have the time this trip as we will only have 2 and a half days post cruise before flying home. We are staying at the Riu Plazza and want to try and show our boys the iconic NYC attractions such as TS, ESB, 9/11 and Brooklyn Bridge and perhaps the Edge. Plan on doing a pedicab tour of Central Park our last morning, but you have now given me thought to explore the idea of a hop on / off bus, I am guessing even if we just stayed on for the whole loop it would give them a great overview. Thanks again

You’re welcome! If you’re on limited time I would pass on the 9\11 museum as you’ll need a few hours there to take it all in. If you purchase the hop on/off bus for the downtown loop it will stop at the Empire state, Brooklyn bridge and Statue of Liberty. The hotel is only a 2 mins walk to Times Square which is perfect ☺️

We're flying from Edinburgh,end of May,United Airlines to Newark,,,if any tips,advice,,,much appreciated

Amazing! You’re going to love it. I would definitely recommend purchasing the hop on hop off bus tour ticket. To see the Statue of Liberty use the Staten Island ferry as it’s free! And another tip, don’t forget the hotels charge a resort tax which is a pain and if you don’t know this can come out of your spending money.

You’re welcome! If you want to take her to a nice restaurant, tavern on the green is beautiful. It’s in Central Park and it’s all lit up in fairy lights. Plus you could do a horse and cart ride around central park before hand, the 5 year old would love it!
