DON'T give up on that lace mould from Hobby lobby. It is beautiful you are just not supposed to use with clay. It is used with Modeling Paste!! If you do that and spread the paste on just like butter on a slice of bread, then leave it to dry OVERNIGHT, the next day it will come out in one piece and look beautiful like a piece of lace. I promise. Just try it

I love all of these! What a sweet gesture in making ornaments for your Sunday School class!! I know those ladies will just love them!!! I watched your struggles with that lace mould and I've been there myself!! DON'T GIVE UP!!!! Its not your technique or anything you're doing, its the clay!!!! Those detailed, shallow moulds don't play well with heavy mediums like clay. Try using modeling paste, or even silicone caulking!! You will be shocked at how easily they come out. I learned this from another KZbin artist in Poland. Her channel is called Svetlana Aistcraft. She has a video that specifically addresses how to use both of these in moulds. And, unlike many of the European channels I love to watch, she ships to the US. She designs her own papers as well. Very talented lady! So don't give up!!! I can't wait to see your next video of ornaments and what else you are doing! Everything you've done so far is so beautiful and inspiring! Love anf hugs!! ❤❤

All of your ornaments look beautiful, I have that exact lace mold and I have used Stamperia cream paste or dap acrylic caulking to make beautiful flexible, lace molds, but they do take 24 hours to dry. There are a number of KZbin tutorials on how to use these products to work with molds .

I have used caulking before and not sure why I did not think of that for that mould. I currently have caulk in that mould now since yall have given me the tip. I just wish I was not so inpatient and can't wait to see how it turns out. :))). Happy Thanksgiving.

The mould that you were using for the lace mould, if you use a light weight medium, that is what you want to use for that mould, it will fall in all the crevices. You will have much better results!!

Loved everything. You can use caulk just make sure it is NOT silicone caulk it will not come out. I use latex caulking then I use my window scraper and take off the extra. Takes about 24 hrs or less to peel it off. Now that we have the heat on I lay it on my floor vent dries faster.

Actually some viewers mention using caulk. Well I tried that and it was amazing. I thought about resin, too. You know sometimes in the moment, you have it in your mind and realize later it didn’t work. Crafter’s brain 😂

I found out that theres a silicon caulk called "Alex Caulking" (?) That is a mix of ingredients that hold up well to the thin molds...
