Hey Charlie, thank you for sharing your transition story on youtube. It is nice to hear/watch stories from different age groups and gender identities (I believe you identified in an earlier video as being bi-gender). I myself am struggling of what my transition should be or if I should transition at all. And at 32 it is nice to hear a perspective from someone in my age range. I'm sorry to hear in this video that people are projecting their fears onto you. At least you recognize what is happening and are healthy enough to recognize your worth and keep boundaries in place to protect yourself. Good luck on this exciting journey!

Dude I totally relate to the whole singing situation. I was so depressed when I was not being able to sing the songs that I could (ex. Sinead O'Connor Nothing Compares To You). I thought at least I could finally sing songs from Depeche Mode, but sadly not really. Have had a tough time finding my range and songs that I could be comfortable with. Hopefully with more time it will work itself out. I'm a year and half on T and can only imagine you will be in a greater place by that time. Looking forward to more of your vids.

Hey Charlie, Great share! I'm glad you are passing more, I have the puffy cheeks that sometimes happen in the beginning with T and am passing less. Yes, yes, yes to the muscles. I'm on crutches again and previously going long distances was so hard. Now crutching for long distances is so easy and fun. My hands have gotten so thick as well. I like you have had people treat me in a mean manner. One of my closest friends basically called me a "Dick" for a comment she would have agreed with two months ago. But because It was delivered by me, a guy finally in her eyes, she was vicious. I'm still processing this and it really hurt my feelings. What do they think that we morphed suddenly into a guy the day the needle went in? NOPE I am the same guy I have always been. My brain did not get transplanted, I have not been reprogrammed and I am still going to talk about things woman the same way. How could I not? I am a woman and a man simultaneously. I am a blend of both and just now choosing to express my more male feelings by changing physically. The social part is going to be the most difficult part to the transition. I knew that, but it just started earlier than I was prepared for. Ian

My voice changed after the little T I did and I got super depressed over the loss of my range...but I practiced singing and regained my range. I even have a broader range now because I can hit the high notes again as well as the low notes T has allowed. Just practice! :)
