I watched the podcast, it was good! Oliver explained his thoughts on swaledales were bang on, really. I bet he did get some funny looks at the auction! 🤣 I noticed the gasps around the ring when the auctioneer jumped the bid £5000 for that tup to reach £25000!

@FarmersSss2 күн бұрын
@johnmchardy4502 Oh, I know that. There will be some serious amount of luck money involved, too. It's all just to get a "name" and more interest from buyers in future sales.

I dont think it does the farming business any good at alll because if a farmer spends his life breeding champion tups or bulls they will never get a record price unless they are in the loop or. Its who you know rather than the quality of the animal that gets the high prices and nobody actually pays the money its just a cosy agreement between the seller and the buyer and the auctioneer and the sheep game cammy actually explained on one of his videos how they fool people with their fake deals 😊@FarmersSss

Hi Sam, ... another great video.... I believe that if you have knowledge it is worthless until you pass it on, you may never know how valuable that knowledge was to the person you gave it to. . I'm new to the sale of animals, but am I the only one here troubled by how some of the sheep are treated in the ring? On a previous video where you were selling, Oliver was great...no poking with a stick or pushing them around.
@Sam-shutt2 күн бұрын
@pksaal if you're selling, you want to show your stock to the best. So making them move in the ring, it's so buyers can see all around them. And see how they walk, etc. It doesn't harm them at all.

He jokes with you a lot and it's a very clear sign of two hard working people enjoying each other's company and in love. He's a family man and you both are perfect for each other.
