Pre workout nutrition is intra and post because of the nature of digestion. Eat or drink a bunch of protein/carbs before the workout, the blood stream will be receiving an inflow of aminos/sugars from the one same "pre" feeding through the intra and post periods.
@ReviveStronger Жыл бұрын
We did touch on that for sure has an impact when the pre workout meal was eaten and what it's composition was. - Steve

Mike's fucking toothbrush analogy. The analogies are fun and make things interesting, but I'm somehow still amazed at how whacky they get 😂

Post workout shake and meal both with carbs and protein?what macronutrients ratios should be?
@ReviveStronger Жыл бұрын
This will depend on your nutritional intake, but I good idea would be something like 0.5g/kg protein & ~25% of your daily carb intake with minimal fats, say 15g or less. - Steve
@miliyanaleksandrov Жыл бұрын

What a great answer to the skull crushers Q. I must admit I use the upper arm back long head focused version but what Mike says was really interesting. However I think I’ll stick with my long head version. See this for my rationale kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKaqp2qtaLGXitE

Artificial sweeteners don't bother you? I tried it and can't drink more than 2 shakes a day. I crave real food after that
@stephenburial Жыл бұрын
@@dorukmeral_ I have an iron gut! Haha. It’s so rare for anything I eat to bother my stomach. I used to eat 6 eggs and immediately go for a 5 mile run… of course I crave real food but microwaving some precooked meet and rice at work isn’t exactly the real food I crave. So I keep my calories during the day pretty low; get the essentials in like protein and carbs for training after work. Then feast with a nice big meal when I get home from the gym. Maybe not the “most optimal” way to go about nutrition but I feel like I’m turning over all the big rocks and it fits really well in my lifestyle.
