There's little difference between Bhutan, and many regions of China such as the Tibet region and Inner Mongolia. These regions have the same natural beauty, but most importantly, it's far more developed in China than Bhutan ever will be , so I don't feel like I am in a 3rd world country while gazing at the natural landscapes. For $250USD/day per person just to be guided around in a third world country, where the local price index for food and local goods seem to be extraordinarily high for foreigners. It feels like a tourist trap and highly inconvenient. Not for me.
