Totally agree the writers are grasping at straws. The gas station holdup was enough Bonny & Clyde for me. Now that they're back in Hollyoaks, I'd like to see them settle in, and I'd like to see Joel deal with the pain of recent events. I don't want him to be as unhappy as he was toward the end of this clip. Andrew Still's portrayal of baby-faced Joel's pain really gets to me. Who can resist the aura of this sexy, vulnerable tough-guy? Some may feel the same for Brendan, but Joel is different. ㋡

Absolutely right! If everything was a spoiler we would eliminate the words preview and synopsis from our vocabulary. Also, the Hollyoaks series has announced this just as they have announced the return date of PJ Brennan. Digital Spy or some other source didn't leak this news. It was announced everywhere.

A spoiler is any info about the story not directly ascertainable from only the story aired so far. That a character's return is on a Hollyoaks web page proves that the web page has spoilers, even if they claim otherwise. As spoilers go, though, it's pretty benign, because we don't know from just this statement how, when, or why, or what happens when the character returns. Actually, I suspect the date is on the web page, but I don't want to know. I'm fine with this but still want to be precise. ㋡

Fine and I certainly agree with you...I correct no one's typos or dropped words or names because: I am not standing in front of my classroom testing students, we all make errors and as long as I know exactly what and who they are talking about and referring to why bother playing classroom monitor? Many people also use translations. Why be disrespectful unless one has nothing positive to add? I have one troll following me insisting "Jean" is not "John" in French. How sad is that?

Joel says he owns half the club, and I've always believed he does, but neither he nor Brendan acts like it. Brendan acts like the club is his. So I guess as long as Joel avoids him, he'll be broke and living in a car. I can understand his wanting to avoid Brendan, but there doesn't seem to be much future in it. Joel has done some bad things, but he still seems mostly a victim. Right now for me Joel is the most sympathetic person in Hollyoaks. I can't help loving him-and the actor Andrew Still.

It's often helpful to use words that have clear definitions. Hence, I stated what I think is the obvious definition of "spoiler." By that definition an announcement that a character will be returning is a spoiler, because this wasn't clear from the story itself. If you want to ignore the definition or prefer a fuzzy idea instead, that's your choice. If you have a different definition in mind, then we simply disagree on what "spoiler" means. Sutton's reps, Vatican, and soap genre are irrelevant.

I was thinking along the lines that JP just wanted to visit his family badly, or to make his visit worthwhile, they could think about making him visit H.O to avoid Craig who theoretically might have done something stupid again to make JP run. And Craig, being his typical self, will withhold from saying he's wrong and hold out a due apology to JP. Hahaha. I would like to think both JP and Craig are evolving characters, yet also a typical couple who squabbles too and gets upset with each other.

this ali character is really gettin on my nerves, and not because he's some demented character or trouble maker but because he's so completely insignificant its painful. and wat is the purpose of his storyline and why should we care it's like hollyoaks writers have a big storyline that we the viewers don't know anything about. all am saying is HO better pull something big out of this crap character and storyline!
