They could be trained to deliver first aid maybe, or a see-and-eye guide, or to keep sheep in line. That's the conclusion to make when you're watching a video about animals helping people. Now go watch a video on dogs attacking innocent people. Also, the coyote was attacking a small dog - where's his compassion? Nothing like watching a few isolated cases and extrapolating to an entire population.

I didn't really know what to do. Out of nowhere a small Chihuahua came from an alley way and ferociously jumped on the charging dog literally saving me from injury. The other dog was stunned and quickly ran away. I was shocked and amazed. The little pooch just wagged his tail and walked away. I wish I could have rescued him and taken him home. Dogs are amazing.

It can be ether materialistic (screaming, smells) or metaphysical (electromagnetic radiation, spiritual vibration). This is how people can understand when animal need help - we have only materialistic perception. But wise versa - my cat somehow knows when I feel sad and need help and it comes to me. But how this fish actually said: “I need water” - this is a question.

Me neither and I have a much bigger dog, even bigger than the coyote. But this was a teenage girl and she unwittingly did the only reasonable thing - she set her dog free (as in let go of the leash, as oppososed to for example picking the dog up in her arms which is the dumbest thing) so that it could run and hide. Of course, her running away from a predator is not smart, because it only makes them run faster, but I can understand that fighting a coyote with her bare hands was not much of an option. Luckily the little guy was so brave to defend her owner, that's amazing and as you can see - size isn't everything, because the doggie won. Let's be real here, without the little doggie, the coyote would have caught up with her within seconds.

Was looking for this comment - we've all seen vids/read stories of dogs and owners taking on bears/cougars/birds of prey together, right? I understand everyone has a different response to panic, but I (5'1 F) would have stayed with my dogs (a 50lb pit and a 65lb staffie) to look/seem more threatening (i.e. yell, wave my arms, call for help, throw anything...etc. - running away in fear from a predator only makes it worse); this isn't theory - we did have a showdown once with an aggressive pack of stray dogs on a late-night walk. owners should also know their pet's personality too... for example I know my staffie would run home if given the chance (making dropping the leash MAYBE make sense if you're not worried about your dog running away or getting hit by a car), but my pit would stand her ground and fight, which is what it looks like this tough little yorkie did, making it extremely dangerous to drop it's leash/abandon it... also unlikely for a dog that size to outrun a larger dog. These two were very lucky. Parents of kids who walk their dogs alone should teach them how to react (stray/loose dogs, wildlife, strangers...etc.).

seeing the love and compassion that these animals have is very heart warming. I once had a dog, I had her for about 12-13 years . I remember the morning of the day that she died and it still brings me to tears, because we grew up together, we played with each other and we loved each other very much. I had more conversations with her than I did with anybody else. And when she died, it broke my heart because she was my best friend. There were times when i was feeling sad and she could sense it, so she would rub on me or place her head on my shoulder. That gave me so much comfort. She was my best friend. I remember on the days that I had school she would follow me and wait until the bus comes, then she'll go back home. In the evening should would be waiting for me to come back home. On the morning of the day that she died she had this sad look in her eyes. I had to go out that day and before I left, I called out to her and told her I'll soon be back. But little did I know that was the last time that I would be able to talk to her, hold her, have her rub and cuddle with me. It still hurts me cause I didn't really get to say goodbye, but I'm glad she knew I loved her.

Watching these animals brought tears to my eyes. Absolutely amazing! I truly believe dogs are man's best friend, and other types of animals are equally awesome. Thanks for sharing. P.S. My late dog also saved a life. Once when my mother fell through the ice with no one else around except my dog, he ran back to the camp to go get my dad, who realized that my dog was trying to tell him something was wrong. He kept barking I guess and looking towards the direction where he and my mother went. My dad quickly realized that my dog was trying to alert him that my mother was in distress. He then followed my dog who led the way to my mom where he found her half submerged from the chest down and unable to climb up off the frigid icy water. My dog was a hero that day! ❤

Sure it would've been better for her to grab the dog and run but the dog handled the situation far better than most would've. It had some fight in it lmao always melts my heart when a small animal shows how much fight it has in it to protect itself and others. The street dogs where I am are lovely. One time I stupidly walked home alone drunk from a bar. This walk took about 10 minutes, quite a few twists and turns, through fairly desolate spots. Two strays who had previously been sleeping outside the bar actually followed me home. Not communicating with me, just a couple of steps behind. I felt they were guarding me. At one point I didn't realise I dropped my purse. One had picked it up and carried it in his mouth. They walked me to my door, and slept outside it all night. I was so amazed, and thankful for them.

I have a little story to tell. It's not about animals saving anyone, but shows the hidden intelligence of dogs. Years ago I worked as a Station Assistant at a Railway Station in Sydney. Two dogs were playing on the platform. One dog wandered into a train that was going South. The other dog went over to the other side and waited for the next train that came up from the South. When the train from the South came, the dog came off it and they both went on their way.
@Kayenne54
@Kayenne54 Жыл бұрын
Oh goodness. When I first read this I thought the first dog had gotten bowled over the train. Re-read and wow. Telepathy? What do you reckon? My dogs pick up on emotions, but the cats pick up on thoughts pretty well. Claudia Cat will watch from the kitchen window to see if I'm bringing in any grass for her to nibble; and when I come in Teddy Cat is sitting there waiting too, so obviously the message was passed on.
@paulrichards2365

@@Kayenne54 Cats are very smart too. When I was courting my wife, she lived about 4 floors up. My girlfriend knew long before I arrived that I was coming. The cat could tell from far below that my car - out of all the cars that come and go - was coming in the driveway. They can place things in time sequence. In the kitchen, when my wife reaches for a certain knife, the cat starts to get excited, but not too excited because that knife can be used for other things. Then out comes the cutting board and the cat gets even more excited, but that board can aslo be used for other things. So even before the chicken comes out the cat has put enough together to know for sure that chicken is coming. This was a bit long, but we animal people can go on about them can't we.
@Kayenne54

@@paulrichards2365 There's a video kicking around KZbin somewhere about hidden cameras, trained on dogs, and the owners randomly picking a time to come home. The dogs always knew. Even if it was earlier or later. The dogs would get alert as soon as the owner walked to their car; dogs would head for the door, and be waiting. Lol yes. I could tell stories for hours about one cat who was a real character. It was from her that I learned that animals WILL tell lies. (Cats more so than dogs; dogs give it away every time).

You had to pick one that is CLEARLY STAGED.... Chances are the dog got trained in a "monkey see, moneky do" way, and is not doing it for empathy. That would also mean the goldfish got subjected to that treatement/torture quite a few times, maybe cause of the damage they even died later on. Dogs can have empathy, but that clip was total B.S. filmed for views.
