20:12 travel documentation preparations and sorting are best done on the tail end of the flight while still inside the plane for a smooth transition through the terminals upon landing.

I have taken it twice in 2017 and 2019. The only thing I don't like is that they don't land at Terminal3..its either Terminal1 or 2 in Philippines

In 2006 I went from Surabaya to San Francisco using EVA. I was in Economy Deluxe. The noticeable activities during the flight were eat, eat, and eat 😃 When I went back from San Francisco to Surabaya I missed the flight. I took the next few days flight. They said I can still claiming my Economy Deluxe seat if there is no passenger using it, and I got my Economy Deluxe seat.

You walked from terminal 2 to Terminal B, was it inside the airport, no need to get out of the building? I have 2 hrs and 20 mins layover in LAX, is this enough?
