Much respect i was waiting for the Kenny King run. Kenny King 2nd best run ever to Bo Jackson Kingdome run. I used to have to go to the san diego game on you tube to watch this. He was flying and much faster than any other rb except Bo. If Bo was a 4.1 King was borderline 4.2 and Kaufman 4.3.

I live in the UK and was first introduced to the NFL back in 1984, been a Raiders fan ever since. Marcus Allen was the main man back then. Fantastic to watch some of the great RB’s the Raiders have had over the years. Such a shame that Bo got injured the way he did, often wonder just how great he could have been if he’d stayed healthy.

Putting all that on Al (just win baby) Davis is looking at it thru a very narrow view point. First things first, EVERYONE knew you don't "hold out' on Al. Allen was going into year 3 of a 5 year contract that he signed just 2 years prior. ( in which at the time made him one of the highest paid RB in the league, if not the highest) If you ask me, holding out and not showing up because you want to negotiate a more lucrative contract going into just yr 3 of the 5 yr deal that you were ecstatic to have and sign 2 yrs earlier. This is the big kicker, holding out on AL was something EVERYONE knew he couldn't stand and he wouldnt bend on something he felt that strong about. Show up and honor your signature on that contract, and along the way each can plead their case. But holding out after just 2 yrs of a 5 yr contract, ALL WHILE KNOWING BO JACKSON IS ON THE TEAM ALSO, how stupid is that? Holding out when the best running back in NFL history is the Raiders other running back, is about as goofy as it gets. Allen had no leverage, and if you ask me he acted in bad taste. Come to work and negotiate that way, challenging Al and holding out when he already made you the highest paid back just 2 yrs earlier and with them having friggin BO mf JACKSON on the team to boot was a wrong, non intelligent move. Don't get me wrong, I love Marcus Allen, he's a legit true all time Raider great, but he looked pretty selfish in making the wrong decision of holding out on AL. Al was going to be AL, respect and being loyal was of the upmost importance to him. Allen stepped on the very things AL held to the highest level. Just saying, thats my take and how I feel about the feud between Allen & Davis. Love em both, wished that never happened, cuz ur right, Allen would of been on there, possibly a dozen more times. Allen & Jackson, both Heisman trophy winners, easily the best 2 backs ever to be on the same team at the same time, there's no arguing that, Right? RaaaaiiiiiDeeeerrrrsss Peace bro...

Marcus did not have great speed but the brains to take an angle to not get caught. Sometimes players get caught because of ego theyre going to prove they can str8 line burn someone they blow 6 points because of ego. Guys like Tim Brown and Marcus were great because they were brilliant. Bo never put his ego first because he was the best ever lol You dont need an ego when you know theres nobody even close. Guys also dont compete with your friends , we all have our talents and some of our friends are better and more handsome DEAL WITH IT

For me it's always going to be OAKLAND RAIDERS! That's where the Raider Mystique originated and that's where the mystique will always be, for me. Those guys played for the love of the game, not for the money. I don't fault the players for getting theirs. Consider me old fashion but it's not the same. Just think each team in their division hated them. Each team was their rival. The Broncos, the Chargers, the Chiefs, the Seahawks. Look it up and think about it. There's one time that baffled me, the Raiders fired coach Tom Cable, who on the previous season, swept the AFC West. I don't get it!
