This is the hottest lineup of new games for retro systems I have EVER seen...and I'm an old man. Wow. Joust with bunnies. Who'da thunk it??!!!
@canaldorograo3 ай бұрын
These dedicated and engaged communities are extremely important for our retro gaming niche. Thanks to these people, these systems still exist, and many games can still be enjoyed. I fear that one day many games, not just from the Commodore Amiga, but from other systems as well, may be lost and never found again. These people are strong allies in ensuring that this never happens!

Caravandalf, Shadow Dancer, and Forest of Illusion look well executed. I still think Hamulet is the most impressive use of the Amiga hardware for a homebrew thus far; I only hope it gets completed or that the engine that it's based on gets released for others to use. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gHvGq5ePhJ2BZ8U kzbin.info/www/bejne/jnXHfqKdodKImNU

Agradeço as palavras, acredita!

@Steril7073 ай бұрын
Who is "admiring" it? :D
@kamilciura79533 ай бұрын
@@perihelion7445 it is very simple game, primitive even - but definitely have some cool artwork. Keep in mind that people are developing games for retro systems just because they want to for pure joy and challenge of making something. But person is rarely a jack of all trades and while they may have great artistic skills, their experience with coding may be lacking and therefore they focus on polishing their skills by developing the game. I have never made a game, but I remember that when I was a kid, I made a very awesome looking excavator machine out of Lego Tecnic Mindstorms. Everyone was impressed by visual aspects, but model itself was very crude from mechanical standpoint and program I made for the module even simpler. But I was proud of it and I've learned a lot, because I made it to best of my abilities at the time. It is a common misconception, perhaps stemming from obsession of monetisation everything to hell and back, that if you aren't good at something, it is not worth doing it because you should be doing something "productive" instead. But it is far from true - we are creative beings and we can decide if we simply want to make/do something just for fun. I believe we should encourage people to do this, especially in an age when every company wants to push homogenised works of media down our throats. I'd rather see and play hundred simple games madenby passionate people than another MOBA doomed for failure, made by studio where creativity is unwelcome because everything must be in line with stakeholders/project leads vision.
