Yeah, I gave in and replaced the broken driver. Cost me £35 for the replacement part.

215s are the most basic iems, still a good value. As above, you need a good seal, you should have a set of tips, I have very narrow canals and had to use the smallest silicone tips, otherwise I'd use some of the foam ones which hold in much better.

Ok, the most important thing when it comes to IEMs is sealing, so tips play a HUGE role in how they sound. Play with the tips, use both silicone and foam tips and see how it goes. Also, custom molded IEMs are a gamechanger, because they don't move and lose seal. Also, if you think the sound quality is amazing, just imagine how a proper set of IEMs sound - even the new Chi-Fi are great, there are IEMs with even more than 6 drivers, some with planar drivers for extra bass. BTW, as a musician, IEMs are usually used wirelessly with the receiver attached to your belt and the cables routed underneath the clothes.

The low end frequencies are actually exceptional for such tiny little drivers, if you get the position right in your ears! it's just that because of the fit in my ears and the fact I can't keep them in one position I keep losing the bass. I've been using them more recently for editing videos on my laptop and am still very impressed with their loudness and overall tonal quality. When I played at the Marshall Arena the other week I'm glad I took my HD25s and not these, because the bass was so loud the stage and decks were vibrating I don't think I would have made it through the set with the in-ears. Fun fact: Mickey Finn started playing a vinyl set but gave up after a couple of tunes because the vibration from the bass caused the needles to jump too much so he switched to the CDJs (and people keep commenting on my mix videos to say I'm not being authentic because I'm not using turntables or viny - welcome to the world of the Arena DJ!!!!!)
