I use it in my camper bedroom which is 10 ft x 10 ft and it does a nice job of keeping me warm on cold nights. It is quiet so you can sleep well and it operates just exactly as the video shows. No problems with the units operation. But to set the heat, you need to use your cellpone and convert the celcius to Fahrenheit. Wish the readout was in Fahrenheit. But I seriously doubt that it would warm a 350 sq ft room. Its great for a small bedroom or bathroom. If you want to heat more space I would recommend getting the multi-pack and plug one in more outlets. You can't beat the multi-pack price! Once you use it a couple nights, you will figure out where to set the temperature to get it just right and comfortable.

Your camper must be really well insulated. The heaters work really well for what they are designed for, but they are nowhere near as good at what they are advertised for.

If it tilts down in the wall socket, which it usually will. Just put a piece of anything that is heat proof and slide it behind the wall and the bottom of the heater and no more sagging. If it falls out of your outlet, you have a worn out outlet. If its not too bad, you can slightly bend the plug blades to tighten it up when you stick it in the outlet. Then put the piece of heat proof material between the wall and the bottom of the heater and you're good to go. Mine sags slightly because of the weight but not enough to matter. If I had designed the unit, I would have made the plastic case with a molded outcropping from the bottom of the case that butts up against the wall thereby never having a problem with unit sagging. But I didn't design it and no one asked me, so .....

My 2 arrived today and I’ve got 1 on the top of my stairs and 1 at the bottom. My home thermostat is set at 18 degrees and comes on when the temperature drops as it should, so why are my 2 mini heaters still running when I’ve got them both set at 15 degrees. So mine aren’t shutting off
@newageselfreliance20 күн бұрын
Is the Heat constantly running, or just the fan? The fan does two things: it pushes the heat out of the unit and keeps the wall behind it from getting too hot. So, the fan will always be running. Even when you turn it off using the power button, the fan stays on for a few seconds, making sure that the wall is cool enough.

Thanks for an in depth look as their website is all promotion and quite short on details. I called the number, which was answered immediately but still not very helpful. MY QUESTION, also for a smallish Camper Van redo of a Ford Transit passenger van is about it cycling. At 68/70º how often would it cycle on/off with 30 - 40º outside temps in insulated van? Also, love that you showed rotation of plug. Any chance that it can go 90º instead of 180º? Any further insights or info would be appreciated.
@newageselfreliance2 жыл бұрын
This is only a 350 Watt heater meaning it only is a quarter of what a hairdryer would be. This isn't going to heat up a space it only works when you are right next to it. That is why I think having it attached to a Power Station is such a good combo. The plug only locks at 180 degrees and the display does not rotate. So when you have it upside down like on the power station the display will be upside down. When I use it I keep it on high 90 degrees and on high the fan runs consistently and the heater is what kicks on and off. It is really quiet for what it is.

@@newageselfreliance we have 100 amp hr LiPo 4 Lithium Iron Phosphate battery with Pure Sine Inverter (2500/5000). It is mounted vertically with three prong plug-ins on top. Not sure it would work for us. A separate power station might help, but the investment???
@newageselfreliance2 жыл бұрын
I'm not 100% sure but I think 100 amps translates into 1200 Watts meaning you could get a 500-watt heater that comes with an actual cord. @readaroo012 жыл бұрын
@@newageselfreliance Thanks again for your time and thoughts. I think your translation is correct which suggests (not verified) one minute equals 1200 watts or vice versa AT 110 Volts. Your battery packs are 500 watts with some kind of built in SINE (pure??) inverter plug-in so I am not sure about the conversion: should it be against 110 voltage or 12 volts? 1200 watts per minute makes sense. Although, I am not good at wrapping this head of mine around the logistics of DC to AC current conversions. Thanks for the Amazon lead. I was drawn to the little 350ºone for convenience. I do have and use a two level revolving ComfortGlo oscillating ceramic heater from Camping World. It has 750 and 1500 watt settings. Works great on shore power at 750 watt setting down to mid 20º temps. Have not tried it for very long solo on our inverter power. The 750 draw suggests almost a minute and a half. Not confident that we could make it through a cold night - hence the draw to your demo for size, storage and use when the temps get low.

The fan isn't really for the battery; it is for the inverter. But yes, without a fan the inverter/charger could deteriorate more quickly if it gets hot. If the inverter is well designed and the box has adequate heat sink you could get by without a fan; and without a fan it *could* last a lot longer since the fan is often the first thing to fail.

Here's my 2c opinion (not the 'truth')! For my 'camping' (I hike to my overnight location) this is no solution. As an emergency heater, e.g. in a car stuck somewhere in winter, this inefficient (expensive), since it requires constant charging or will only operate when the engine is running. For those situations I have a gel-stove in the car emergency kit, that will also allow me to make hot tea! For power loss situation in my home I bought a power generator, that allows me to operate the oil based central heating. As an asside, the human body is a 100+ watt heater. The number I found is: a 75kg person in a 16c room produces 120watt, that is 165pound at 60f. This heater is a comfort gadget: heat my feat as I work at my deskmin the home office, but even there wool socks work better...

What about propane heater or wood heater
@newageselfreliance3 жыл бұрын
Both are really good options. Just make sure you have a place to put a wood-burning stove without starting random stuff on fire. The propane heater needs to be in a well-ventalated area.
