Tuesday 9th of July would see 35028 'Clan Line' run a tour from London to Weymouth via Basingstoke, Salisbury & Yeovil and return via Bournemouth & Southampton, to commerate 57 years since the end of southern steam. We start the day at Andover where we see 35028 absolutely flying however unfortunately in poor weather conditions and blowing off but still good to see none the less! For the next shot we headed to Templecombe where we see 35028 powering up away from the approach control with a lovely whistle past the camera. For the return we headed to Bincombe to see Clan Line tackle the infamous Upwey Bank towards Dorchester from Weymouth, we start off seeing 35028 heading down the bank light engine with her support coach after being serviced and turned at Yeovil Junction. Now we see the main event 35028 romping up the bank in fine fettle with lots of steam and making a good noise with little to no assistance from the diesel on the rear. It was definitely a sight to witness and I hope to expirence it again one day!
Thanks for watching, kind regards Tom
