I'm so glad you made this video!! I've been stretching hair by pulling it strand by strand and it takes forever. Thank you!!
@pandapanda83543 жыл бұрын
This was the best method I’ve seen because it doesn’t lose big handfuls of hair due to brushing out tangles. Your method of stretching does NOT tangle the hair. This means after stretching, I don’t end up with a big clump on the brush during final combing. Thank you for showing this slowly and speaking clearly. I was able to achieve your same results easily.

genesis martin I comb mines out lol I learned that from the Africans at the shop. Its faster and looks just like this lol. But my cousin is a braider as well and she does it the way beauty does it

there are pre stretched braiding hair in the market, it is easier
@candylady6185 жыл бұрын
@@vivianwang6370 but its short tho. The stretched hair at the beauty supply store is is for kids or women that like their braids to their shoulders. If u want longer braids u have to stretch it yourself.
@jmarieeeee5 жыл бұрын
@@candylady618yeah I hate pre stretched hair. It's either too short or way too long lol. Doesn't make sense to cut it bc that defeats the purpose. And i noticed the taper at the ends is too thin on pre stretched hair, and looks less natural than buying reg braiding hair and stretching it yourself.

Thank you for this... I only started braiding a few years back so I could stop paying ppl for simple braiding styles like box braids. I’ve stayed away from hair that’s not pre-stretched but this time the color hair that I want doesn’t come reasonably priced for pre stretched. I found some but it only had 60g of hair for each bundle... compared to 100g for each bundle and better price. Now I can slay my knotless box braids I’ve been practicing on and I can stretch the hair w/o tangling it to death!

Thank you for this video. I've been doing my own hair, doing Senegalese twists, since last winter and love them but all the braiding hair is SO long! I always just wind up pulling it all into a bun. I'd really like to wear them down some time and want them to be like shoulder blade length max, not butt length. I think with this method I can cut the hair in half and still twist and not have them unravel and this will cut the installation time in half as well. I've tried this cutting in half before but failed because the ends were too blunt and would unravel. Thank you for this quick tutorial!

I have some 3 toned ombre hair and I want to do them without losing the ombre effect. I also want to extend the length, so I was thinking about starting the braids with regular black and adding the extension in one piece because if I feed the hair in I will mess up the ombre. Do you think this would work

Stretched ends are ok for long box braids/individuals... but if you doing bobs or other styles that require you to burn the ends (which is starting to be a trend now) you’ll want it to be full throughout the ends and not stretched
