36" Code3 MX7000 "custom" lightbar - all clear domes with filters

I bought this lightbar from another guy who also had a lightbar collection.
He custom-built it from a standard size bar and cut off the frame to make it a mini MX in 36" length. Then he loaded it with plenty of lights. I was so impressed by his work and the light setup that I absolutely wanted this bar.
It comes fully loaded with:
6 metal rotators (50w halogen bulb each) with red and blue rotator filters. They were supposed to be standard speed but as you can see one of the blues seems to go faster
2 front intersection lights (50w halogen bulb each) with red and blue colour filters
2 rear intersection lights (50w halogen bulb each) with red and blue colour filters
4 front flashers (50w halogen bulb each) with red and blue colour filters
4 rear flashers (21w halogen bulbs each) with amber colour filters
As you can see the 21w bulbs are not very bright comparing to the other lights. As far as I know the guy put these in to save power which seems legit because the full bar has a high amp draw and in your living room you may not need the full light power.
However one of my projects is to replace those bulbs by brighter bulbs, maybe I will try out some LED bulbs. I will post a new video once that is done.

Only drawback of these old rotating bars was the enormous amount of amperage draw they had. This bar has a total of EIGHTEEN bulbs and TEN motors. It looks like the four rear amber slots are using incandescent bulbs but the other 14 are using 50-watt halogen bulbs, 10 of which use a motor. Each light/motor combo draws about 4.3 amps each and that's a LOT of amperage for one bar (some had even more) compared to a modern LED bar which draws but a fraction of that. That said, I still prefer these old halogen rotating bars.

Very nice! I notice the most inboard blue rotator is different from the others. Both faster and I can see the base is physically different from the others. I’m glad they aren’t all fast rotators. I think slow (60 - 90 rpm) are the most effective.

I still use a code3 excalibur with working Amber x4 fast rotators, as well as alternating reds, including stop tail indicators, and custom strobes and cruise lights

Not anymore..,leds is improved and something new,they no longer support rotators its old now. Some stores sell used and new(old) rotators as well,anyway it was really nice,but unfortunately its old school now

I’m trying to put in a blue filter for my intersection lights. It seems like I have to take it all apart to do? Is there a better way?

There is not, the brackets for the lights themselves help hold the filter in

Lightbars such as MX7000 and StreetHawk put priority lightning as primary unlike the unprotected profile of a Junksonic with a alley light blocking the blue. A T-bone waiting to happen. Now everyone is back to blocking the primary 360 warning with the same dickbrain alley lights on the new LED wonder bars. They who learn not from history will not only be doomed to repeat it,they also put first responders safety in jeopardy for the sake of cheesedick repetition richardheadedness.
