I was a little girl in the seventies, my parents watched Colombo, and I knew about him because of their comments and sundays afternoons enjoying the show, I started watching it online during the pandemic and I think I know every episode by heart! such a comfort and joy to watch, like a good friend you never have enough of his conversation,intelligence and wittiness,that is Colombo for me...and my daughter in her twenties!

I watched the show as a child, and it was more or less okay. Then I rediscovered it last year. My God, so many episodes wouldn't be made today, and they are more than just brilliant. I love all the old episodes and can enjoy many newer ones, but the older ones are really the best. The quieter and more focused on the dialogue between Columbo and the killer, the better the episodes.

I enjoyed this really well done presentation and seeing the juxtaposition of the pics showing youth and old age was perfect. But I have two comments. Should you be able to redo or update this homage, please know that the name you show as Ida Lupin is in fact Ida Lupino. And while you cannot necessarily add every actor who has since died, please add the marvelous actor and Columbo villain Theodore Bikel to your list. You show lesser known character actors but left him out for some reason, and given that he was once a client of mine perhaps that's why your omitting him disappointed me. Thank you nonetheless for putting this together.

I just turned 78, so I was amazed to see that most of these actors passed away around that age or less! When I saw this show, I was in my late 20's, so it shows life goes quickly! (p.s. In 1977, I was at Universal Studios, Calif. & saw Columbo's Peugeot, Banachek's Packard & other vintage cars, routinely parked in a lot! Weird sight!)

I just turned 74 and was saddened when I noticed so many actors born in the 60s and 70s dying way before their "time". Did you notice that most of the female actresses died in their 90s? Sad to see that male actors died much younger, though several lived as long a their female counterparts.

It is always with sadness when I see all these familiar faces fading into history. They were everywhere on films and TV series when I grew up in the 60s/70s. Sometimes it is hard to believe how time flies and at the blink of an eye so many of them have already gone. Love Columbo and I hope the younger generation would enjoy watching it as much as I do !
