We Do Not live in a democracy. We live in a Constitutional Republic. It's important to know the difference. In a democracy, the sovereignty is in the whole body of the citizens. The sovereignty is not divided to smaller units such as individual citizens. To solve a problem, only the whole body politic is authorized to act. Also, being citizens, individuals have duties and obligations to the government. The governments only obligations to the citizens are those legislatively pre-defined for it by the whole body politic. In a Republic, the sovereignty resides in the Free People themselves, whether one or many. In a Republic, one may act on his/her own or through representatives as they choose to solve a problem. Further, the People have no obligation to the government; instead, the government being hired by the People, is obliged to its owner, We the People. (See 10th Amendment if you do not know.) “A Constitutional Republic” is a government created and controlled, at least, by the Law of a Constitution. (See Article IV, Section 4) The Constitution of the United States of America was, in Law, foundationally based on the Bible, the Magna Carta, and the Declaration of Independence. Those documents known as the Charters of Freedom, recognize mans sovereignty, the Divine nature of mans creation and mans divine right to Life, Liberty, Property, and the Pursuit of Happiness. (Our Constitution was made only for a Moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.)

The United States of America is not a democracy; it’s a Constitutional Federal Republic! While often categorized as a democracy, the United States is more accurately defined as a constitutional federal republic. What does this mean? “Constitutional” refers to the fact that government in the United States is based on a Constitution which is the supreme law of the United States. The Constitution not only provides the framework for how the federal and state governments are structured, but also places significant limits on their powers. “Federal” means that there is both a national government and governments of the 50 states. A “republic” is a form of government in which the people hold power, but elect representatives to exercise that power. - U.S. Government

In a republic people as individuals choose, in a democracy the electoral choose according to majority. In a republic the individual takes responsibility of one's self and imparted actions (consequences includes). In a democracy rule is implemented for the whole (consequences included). In essence, a Republic is sovereign individuals being responsible, in a democracy the governing body chosen is responsible. It's been perverted for some time what we are... The truth is we as individuals are not a 'form of governance'. A government "of the people, for the people, by the people" is the simplest and best constitutional definition of democracy in the world. You are both a democracy and a republic. Being a Republic refers to the institutions and mechanisms of governance. There are communist republics, monarchist republics, democratic republics, military republics. You have a democratic constitutional republic. Please refer to more accurate and intelligent sources than this video. Democracy literally means people power. The people run government by proxy representatives from among themselves, chosen by the people. Those who deny that you are a democracy, seek to install tyranny. But how will American people recognize tyranny if they don't understand the terms democracy v tyranny v anarchy etc. Your people are politically illiterate. Now I understand why you have anti democratic forces in your country like neo nazis and facists. They don't understand that democracy is embedded in your constitution. Democracy is the foundation for freedom..End democracy and your country is no better than Russia, worse even. I dread the day when we in Canada literally have to call on Russia or China to protect our border from American tyranny. But if you insist you are not democratic, then please stop trying to quote 'make the world safe for democracy ' and don't emigrate to Canada. We are a democracy here.

What happens is the majority the people don’t want to work for a living instead they vote for people in laws that put money in their pockets instead of doing their fair share in society they become decorate and lazy while you still have wealthy people and people that do work hard those people are the ones that suffer because now they have to work harder they have to pay more to support the people that don’t want to work so they get disgruntled and either quit altogether they quit producing they hide their money or just leave the country then the people that refuse to work don’t have anybody to prop them up so next time you know it there’s food shortages famines and starvation and those turn to civil unrest then on top of that there’s people that want to grab power so they use that opportunity that little bit of chaos to seize power in the democracy has successfully reverted to an oligarchy then the new ruler puts the freeloaders in line that is a summarization how a democracy fails and it’s destined to fail

@@fleebertreatise1063 No. Because collectively, the judicial/courts wanted to maintain/adhere to the legal protocols rather than break steps that would potentially create a political chaos. It meant, not one had taking the initiative to break step and see what is going on. For lack of a better term, the system lacked legal fortiutde. "No standing" was the safe route, but it certainly does not and I repeat, it DOES NOT mean the request to present "evidence" is dismissed because there was no evidence. In short, "No Standing" does not mean "No Evidence". Attorney Generals don't just come together and submit a bunch of stuff when their job is on the line. They submit affidavits (people's account of the event, and they are willing to testify under the crime of perjury, and there were thousands of affidavits), forensic and material evidence to establish reasonable doubt/cause for the court to review as evidence for further legal verification. Arrests were made, all people needed to do is to search. But because it's Trump, the nation refused the due rigor and diligence for legal integrity simply because it was someone the establishment/public did not approve. Trump never got his day to show what he and all the AGs had. The due process means anyone who is accused of a crime get a legal benefit of the doubt about the accuser to prove the accused of crime. Not only he was denied this right, the media simply claimed there is nothing when we were not even allow seeing what he has. This is simply unacceptable and biased, to say the least. And as we all know, this was the fuse that led to the protests on Jan 6 (a lawful event but unlawful actions by some as the day went on).

Democracy is merely the principle while Republic is a specific type of state governance which is fairly reflective of true freedom due to a balanced division of powers, not perfect but ideal. Democracy will fail in a country full of non thinking sheeple citizens that can be easily manipulated by propagandist media, indoctrination by education system and electing Machiavellian politicians. Nonetheless, USA despite a Republic, individual rights were severely compromised during this "covert-19 plandemic scare scam"....a clear violation of the constitutional rights of citizens by state governments.

Yes they do the second amendment was not written for hunting it was written to enable people to be able to have the means of defending themselves in the advent of the government turns on the people and starts abusing the people or to protect yourself and families that’s what parents do is they take weapons in mini feudal societies in the Middle Ages it was illegal to own a sword if a sword was found in your possession you could be killed the people were at the total mercy of the elite or the ruling class you might’ve heard of prima Nocta off of Braveheart it was actually a real lol there is only few recorded instances where it was ever practiced but basically the Lord or a king or Noble would crash a wedding take the bride for himself for night and people are religious back then so they basically deprive the husband of being the wife’s first. Also Nobles could come in your house or on to your property and take whatever they want to when they wanted to and leave you and your family with nothing that’s one the right to keep and bear arms is so important giving up anything as far as that goes will not keep you safe it will only ensure your abusers have the means to abuse you further like look at Cambodia or Venezuela people handed over their weapons the government took those weapons and armed violent street gangs and paid them to terrorize the citizens.

Both democracies and republics encompass many positives and negatives; the key issue with democracies is, as the video suggests, the majority has complete power. The issue with republics, particularly when you look at the United States, is that reliance on a constitution often leads to restriction on significant reform - for instance, welfare or gun laws. Useful video, nevertheless.

Id rather be watched over by a constitution than by a bunch of idiots. Aristotle once made this argument, he said would you have a group of business owners and pedestrians fly a plane or a skilled pilot basically.

Changes to the constitution can be made but they are significant harder to change. The gun laws in america are perfectly fine and yeh the welfare programmes are a bit higher than most countries.

@@Jojo-jp4ro You are never watched over by the constitution. The people elected to office and hired at agencies are bound to rules within the constitution, but we rely on a judicial system that will enforce those rules and people who will speak up within or outside of the government when they notice a violation. So you really always rely on "idiots". Did you mean you want to be watched over by people who read the Constitution and are paying attention to things happening in the country?
